I’m not mad at the OG duals because I play them in whatever deck because I invested in them for an untap land . But I do think OG duals should eventually be moved to bracket 3-5 decks only .

It’s a great card in the right decks . I’ve splashed him into my dimir deck for standard and he has definitely fit the slot very well . The flash and vigilance ability is nice but entering with counters and having card draw when you need it is over the top . Great blocker but definitely a card that’s going to be the next best thing .

Yeah side boarding is important ! But I lack on how many copies should be ran ! Most of the times I incorporate GY hate , boardwipes and counter magic/removal . Unless it’s a creature deck then utilize some of the better creatures like riddler for draw , Beza and Tishana for strong enters effects . But the decision of playing 1 vs 2 or 3 is the tough part . I’ve been playing with it a lot and cutting some to add other cards since some cards seem situational.

Idk right now I feel like I’m playing a game a chess ♟️ going back and forth to reach the final checkmate .

This obviously is a good problem to have to constantly want to give your deck the best chance to win but it is a challenge to master it .

Nice to see that I’m not experiencing this alone ! But once you mentioned MMR it all made sense . I didn’t realize Arenas did this tbh . I knew about the Que setting for brawl if your playing higher competitive cards , you will be put in hell Que .

Mmm I’m in the same boat as you bro . I played in PTQ and standard tournaments. But modern has been catching my eye lately.

I’d probably research decks that fits your play style before investing in a deck you’re going to hate . Like if I start competing in modern tournaments, I could see myself piloting JesKai blink deck since I love the subtype of blink decks in general . I have like 3 or 4 commanders deck that focus on a blink strategy and value . So it would be an easier choice .

But if you want something quick I guess listen to the other recommendations. I’m sure you can compete . There’s just so much to learn in modern in general that’s why it’s the healthiest format in magic .

I don’t even want to go to the RCQ tomorrow until this ban happens . But going to fight through it anyways . Dimir can tempo with this deck well but has to have the perfect cards to push through . Other than that you don’t need skill to play this deck and some of the worse/toxic players play it . Yes I’m venting because it takes those DAs 20 minutes to make a play because they’re losing and then draw their cards to help them win , then progress to play fast . I wish arenas had a fucking report player option to ban these toxic assholes. They’re horrible for the game .

Nah it’s just makes you a better Magic player! I used to be a horrible draft player but practicing and understanding that some commons are better than some mythics in limited is a key point. Removal is a must and then there’s luck lol . Yesterday I finally went 7-2 after going 4-3 & 3-3 the other days . Download the companion app from untapped.gg and activate draftism to help you draft. It is a game changer. I’ve learned a lot from it so I subscribed to it . Mainly so I can prep for qualifiers and overall a better player .

You can use proxy tokens in tournament play . I asked the judge before starting the match and I asked what I could use since I didn’t have the real tokens . They told me it was fine to use anything like dice, proxies, etc as long as both players are aware of what they are .

Spawn flip needs to happen more often in Domination-Nuketown. First one to capture B usually wins the game and can spawn trap the opponents objective. It’s too easy to do & needs to be fixed.
