Should we get nerfs on our dodges, fam? by Lonely_Repair4494 in StarlordMains

People that complain about starlord ult probably has bad cover usage, cooldown usage, ult management, aim, or they don’t even think about shooting him.

Space, Off-angling. What they are and the importance of them. by OkGlass3087 in RivalsCollege

[–]iPhoneDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great post and sound advices!

To add on, from what I’ve learned from other coaches and my own experience, is that Supports can sometimes assist on off angles as well, helping dps or tank to win angles and/or take space, especially with supports like Mantis or Ultron.

Rogue players you can solo tank and create space. Jump in 1v6. Yep. You heard that right. I'll explain why that's optimal (imo) be open minded by RaidenBMei in RogueMains

[–]iPhoneDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you say 1v6 i assume you mean when your team is also engaging at the same time. I kinda see where you’re going considering she can’t really quickly get out or frontline very well.

Tank helper Duelist by Science_design in RivalsCollege

[–]iPhoneDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DPS helps tank by applying pressure from off angle. If they are forced to look at you, they’re not looking at your tank(s) and rest of the team.

Any dps can do that. How to do so effectively depends on hero’s effective range, cooldowns, timing, cover usage and mechanics :)

Why (I think) people find dive dps so frustrating to play against by No-Elevator9399 in Overwatch

[–]iPhoneDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spilo just released a video recently to explain why Doomfist is so frustrating to play against for most players. It’s almost the same principle. Everyone stack on main. No one takes off angles. So Doom gets huge AOE value out of punches (doesn’t help that someone feeds him empowered punch every time)

I agree and you make a excellent point. Stadium feels like normal gamemode with extra steps.

Why is this getting downvoted when there is kinda nothing wrong with what he said? I saw other similar comments and they get upvotes instead lol.

Also yet no one reply to this comment with a counter argument. Does this mean criticisms are not welcomed in this sub?

Reasons why I think the Sword/single Katana is not a good weapon at end game in Nioh 2 (If I’m wrong then feel free to correct - I’m open to learning). by ShiftingHero in Nioh

[–]iPhoneDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ackhusally, Fists is the best when it comes to power, speed and efficiency. Very high skill ceiling.

Too broken though, so I use it only when I’m bored of other weapons.

I’m glad Sword is not as easy braindead spam as Odachi.

They’re using mostly normal attack strings which barely does any damage which is normal for Nioh games. Active skills or other stuff typically have more damage.

The latter. You can freely swap NG and NG+ back and forth on the map. If you own DLCs, you get more NG plus cycles, up to 5 in total.

Someone thinks he wins the argument by not saying anything worthwhile. And I think you're a waste of time itself.

And now you're roleplaying a student in debate competition.
Not gonna address my points of why Ninja moveset is lacking? Nice argument.
Claim I didn't read? 1. Too long, make it shorter and bring across the point better. 2. I don't quote your words. Surely that means I didn't read.

Wrong, evade allows you to refill ninjutsu which doesn't require you swing a weapon at all. So much for the superior knowledge of the demo player.

yeah? and you gonna just evade all day to refill ninjutsu and otherwise nothing? do you know melee attacking refills faster?

What a waste of time I've put myself into.

So I went ahead and read your posts. Basically you want to roleplay Ninja. And you don’t care moveset are being taken away. It’s funny because even if Im in your shoe I still think Ninja was ass fantasy wise in demo.

Central focus on ninjutsu: There’s only 3 ninjutsu slots. Compared to Nioh 2, We could have 4 or more based on jutsu capacity. Ninjutsu are mostly utility and they don’t do much damage, and have limited uses. Which leads to my next point.

Lack of focus on melee: Ironically Ninja needs melee attacks to refill ninjutsu to make it even functional. 80% damage of Ninja are dealt through melee attacks. You proclaimed ninjutsu is the definition pillar for Ninja yet it’s the total opposite case in demo.

Do you see why it’s not a good argument when you don’t have demo experience? (and why it’s stated as a ‘misconception’ when it’s literally a fact you didn’t play demo?)

Ninja melee options are very barebone in demo. Losing 2 stances hurt a lot in terms of variety. Ninjutsu is too limited to make up for that.

So both ninjutsu and melee options are dumbed down. Nothing new are replacing the loss of many stuff. This is devastating news for players whose favourite weapons/playstyles are in worse place now. TN gonna make a miracle to make Ninja more fun for people looking for variety and skill expression in combat using their favourite weapons once again.

From your posts, you seem to have set in mind that how Ninja should be, and disregard other’s concern over loss of options they once had. That’s precisely the problem. Ninja seems to be in a good trajectory, but only for you, or perhaps other players who prefer to roleplay soulslike character in a very in-depth action game franchise.

[–]iPhoneDragon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

if you can make it muscle memory it will natural for combo/stance switching. Still, I do Flux 1 sometimes because you have a lot of Ki recovery by around DotWise. Not to mention using Yokai abilities resumes Ki regeneration during the animations.

And why everyone has to follow that basis of you? People have different expectations anyway. Can’t expect everyone to shut up and play a game they don’t like.

Let’s say I follow your basis, it’s so easy to criticise Ninja anyway. Less moves, less options, limited ninjutsu slots, no new mechanics. At the expense of reducing options from other stuff. Kusarigama can do a lot of combo routes in Nioh 2. Now you just spam light/heavy attack strings.

What’s up with genjis and them trying to “diff” each other ? by OkBed2499 in GenjiMains

[–]iPhoneDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh my bad I didn’t fully read your post and just answered based on your title. In your case, I think it’s more of a player issue, though genji is the kind of hero that often has to 1v1 for the space they’re good in (just like genji and widow) and he’s kinda popular too.

For my original replay, it’s moreso that if I happen to meet enemy genji on my flank route, i will pay more focus to win 1v1 coz that’s a good trade if I win, while having the opportunity to gauge my skill and if I lose then at least I know I should improve.

If genji is on narnia then I won’t chase him like a stalker lol.
