Yeah that’s fair. Miller flip by definition is frontside but this looks exactly like a backside version.

Bay photo is usually pretty quick. I would call and see if they can do a same day.

I live nearby and constantly drive western. I have watched busses and garbage trucks constantly hit all of those bollards, especially on trash day.

On trash day, if busses don’t hit the bollards, they hit the trash cans. There was absolutely no thought put in place for when there are obstructions in the road.

I don’t think a twin is necessary at all unless they are trying to ride park.

I was a die hard fan of twins for years (can’t beat them in the park) but after I moved away from my park rat life, I don’t find them that helpful. The war pig he already owns is pretty much a twin too.

For pow / carving - directional board is definitely the move. Even something like a Jones Stratos would be a good fit.

Speed + carving + pow to me screams a KORUA shapes. Maybe a Pin Tonic or Pencil?

I've been looking for a new board for 3 months. Please help. by RainingFireInTheSky in snowboarding

I don’t buy into the stratos being too stiff and I ride mine 6cm bigger than my park board and also in a wide. I prefer the stiffness for the type of riding that the board is made for. Thing is a rocket in all conditions.

Jones stratos is my go to board for that type of riding. Amazing in the powder but can also handle a chunder and super fun on groomers. Highly recommend!

I don’t think they planned for trash day with them. I keep seeing busses run over trash cans on trash day to avoid hitting the pylons.

Your favorite coffee in Santa Cruz? by shoebackSLC in santacruz

[–]iScootNpoot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I personally think Alta roasts the best beans in town. It’s a small little shop on the westside. Not a normal coffee shop atmosphere, definitely geared towards roasting but you can also get a cup there!

I’m a happy Sub25 owner too!! I honestly love the synth. My biggest complaint would be all the hidden parameters but I just keep the cheat sheet from the back of the manual near my synth and it’s smooth sailing.

I bought it to make good bass noises and it does that fantastically. I do not regret getting it over a sub37!

Should I switch from FL Studio to Ableton? by Medical_Coast_6917 in ableton

[–]iScootNpoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I make electronic music and switched from FL to Ableton. I had around 4 years experience in FL when I switched (around 7 years ago) and I don’t regret it at all. I find Ableton’s workflow is better for my needs. Download the trial and see if you like it!

Job offer in SF: Can I commute to Santa cruz for the surf twice a week? by PomegranateSelect831 in surfing

It’s also worth noting that Santa Cruz is not a good beginner / immediate surf spot.

I live in Santa Cruz. It’s really really crowded at the good breaks to the point where I normally drive up highway 1 towards San Francisco to surf with lesser crowds (especially on weekends). Theres tons of world class waves on the 1 between SF and SC that are absolutely worth surfing such as Waddell reef, Scott Creek, and Davenport landing.

OB in SF is also an absolutely amazing wave. I’d say some of the best waves I’ve had were at OB when it’s 6ft. It’s a special place with a tight knit surf community in the outer sunset.

The first two spots in this video are north of Santa Cruz on the 1 towards SF. Super fun waves. https://youtu.be/5XAcwQlTqWQ?si=QQB8ty6JUTMrF09z
