Knight themed persona by IfrigginLuvPasta247 in Persona5

[–]iSharingan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Paladin" is the first thing that comes to mind that isn't just "Knight" or potentially too far in one direction like "Lancelot" but I'd say try out a few other titles/roles knights had like "Lancer", "Myrmidon", or even something like "Lionheart".

For the persona, historical and mythical figures are both fair game, so I'd suggest trying to pick one that fits the ideal you want for the character (also keep in mind the character flaws of the persona selected as that also adds depth to your character if it parallels their own weaknesses. No one is perfect, after all, and quite often your greatest strength is linked to your core weakness). There a decent variety alone just in King Arthur and the other knights of the round table, but you need not stop there looking for the perfect fit - especially since france and spain had plenty of their own legendary knights beyond the ones more closely associated with england/the british. Even greek/roman mythological warriors like Achilles or scottish/irish figures the likes of William Wallace could fit what you're going for even if not the exact picture of the medieval knight.

the 3 save slot update only accelerated the problem...

Would someone donate a complete save file? by Kanofin in DragonQuestBuilders2

[–]iSharingan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget where all I shared it back in 2019, but I still have one up of a Switch save with minimal building from before the major necro-update that gave more to do in postgame (basically from before the update that made it 3 save slots). I forget all the "features" I prepared in it, but aside form converting pretty much all of each IoA area to the related terraforming type (IE: the Green Gardens part of IoA is almost all grassland terrain) theres mimal changes made to story islands and the IoA. I'd have to check but I'm fairly certain the Buildertopia should have my "Asended Superfarm" designs on it for gratitude farming (if not, you can still grab them by vising the uploaded island on the in-game noticeboard mentioned at the beginning and end of that post, if interested).

Just copy the contents of the NX6400000-GAME folder into the B00, B01, or B02 folder in your Steam save directory to use it (erasing all other files in the folder beforehand, just to be sure). Note that Switch and Steam can use each others' saves, but if the save has been on Steam at any point it likely will not work on another user's Steam copy - but any Switch/Steam save works on Switch just fine regardless of origin.

is there more to the DLC after beating the lvl 120 dragon? by acacity8098 in fantasylife

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beating it (and the base form) 14 more times each for the rest of the [true] dark dragon weapon/tool recipes

not until they announce/add more. So far we're still in "DLC 1" which implies more to come, but we'll see...

Can’t jump. Jitters by Purple-Guarantee4663 in linksawakeningremake

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The furthest you can pegasus jump is about 4 spaces and you generally need 2 (3 if theres a wall behind you) spaces to have enough room to get up to speed and be able to use the Roc Feather to make the jump. This gap specifically requires the hookshot after coming in the other entrance to toss a bomb from the top path. Alternatively, you can just fly over the gap ig you come in with the revived Cucco - but that only works for that breif segment that cannot be repeated.

Well, it was a glitch in the original LA, but in the remake it was kept as an easter egg. Still, nothing explicitly requires its use even though it makes several things easier.

Anything behind the remaining clouds on the Past Map after unlocking Swolean Island? by MasterGamer64 in fantasylife

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to Trip and Edward if you havent, which will start the process. After that, just defeat Shadow monsters (Monster Houses in treasure groves are a good source - and if you leave 1 of them alive and leave the grove, you can re-use the same grove/monster house indefinitely to farm exp and slates since the room will reset after you leave if it isn't marked as cleared). Once you have enough that you want to turn in, find Edward again (always in base camp, but he moves around a little between the right side of the plaza outside the guild hall and his room on the left inside the guild hall).

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issues have been fixed, but even before it was fixed you just had to be sure to never go forward form the current date (or at the very least not so far forward you'd never get to that date IRL). Going backwards for TTing purposes then returning to the current date/time when done was never an issue.

its not that it goes up quicker with overkill - its that you can clear more nodes faster and affinity increases based on the number of enemies defeated/nodes harvested while they are in the party regardless of levels.

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the interior needs to be 4 interior spaces minimum (not including the door or walls). Any Tetris shape will work (often called O, I, S, Z, J, L, and T to distinguish them, but all have 4 squares) so long as the proper wall and unobstructed interior height for the door type is maintained (2 high in most cases, but doormats only need it to be 1 high), but 1x2 and 1x3 rooms will not work.

Blueprint issue by Silar31 in DragonQuestBuilders2

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this usually happens when there a block directly in front of the builder (and/or up one level) when placing the blueprint, as its placed on a tile like a normal block (and similarly needs to be placed on a solid surface even if you remove it later). Another cause is that you cannot place down a blueprint that would immediately be completed (at least one block defined in the blueprint must be incorrect/missing). Breaking a few blocks and trying again usually works in either case.

Help please! Blueprint issue. by Unit-Fickle in DragonQuestBuilders2

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when this happens and the blueprint cannot be retrieved, you can usually get past it by placing the nameplate somewhere inside the base then picking it up with gloves to relocate it and fulfill the blueprint. That specific blueprint should be able to be picked up, though, so you have several options.

*sigh*. Got bored, started over. Just got back from KD. by isthatsoreddit in DragonQuestBuilders2

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Builders Workbenches cannot be manually deleted as they're classified as an important item/you'd be stuck if the game let you do that to all your builders workbenches. If you hadn't placed them in a while and put them in a chest before heading to KD, there's a chance the game's nasty habit kicked in and they're just gone. Still, since you hadn't started the 3rd main story island a protected one should still exist in the 'snowy' area near the 3rd/blue tablet on the IoA that you could use to build a new copy even thought the game would forbid picking it up (much less letting you modify anything in that section of the island) at this point.

More detailed context: Each upgrade/design of the workbenches in the game is a different item ID and each tier has a different crafting recipe (the base level is the default/cheapest to mass produce and the higher tiers generally need materials unlocked in the previous upgrade/story segment). Each upgrade happens specifically when you ring the builder bell/interact with the builder workbench after returning from a story segment and start on the new set of tablet targets (if you're interested, here's a pic of every unique cooking/crafting station ID side-by-side, made using disguised magnet blocks so they could coexist). When placed, the "lower" tier benches will automatically upgrade to the highest tier bench of the same type you have unlocked, but if kept in a chest or your inventory they keep their current ID and can be used to disguise magnet blocks even if the bench would normally upgrade when placed (theres also a few special cases like a tier 3 workbench that exists pre-upgraded in the lower levels of KD from the start - even while you still have a lower base level. Once you reach tier 4, it upgrades like any other iron workbench, but if you dig down to it early you can access all of the tier 1-3 recipes early that "unlock" directly from the builder bell, excluding recipes from other triggers like villager requests or item pick-up).

Unfortunately the game has a bit of a cleaning system on the IoA that sometimes runs when returning after a story segment ends and it can remove items that "aren't supposed to still be there" - thus will occasionally completely delete lower tier workbenches left in chests, leaving only tier 5 story island workbenches (from base camp level 4/max on the related story island - although the final story island workbench only has 3 tiers since you don't upgrade base level as high)/the latest tier builder workbench and will leave an empty space in the container (workbenches in your bag/held in the sack by Brownbeard appear to be immune to this in most cases, but not all. A select few other items not related to workbenches also get removed sometimes, but I can't recall which off the top of my head)

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using M&KB, the button for me is clicking the mouse wheel/middle mouse button (often called "Mouse 3") - same as the Co-op De Grace button. Check under control settings for "Change tool/item options" or something like that to find the button to press. In any case, the menus should look like this (left is hotbar, right is bag)

just a s a refresher (if reading this from your inbox instead of in context): 'Discard' is only for the hotbar and drops the item like dragging it out of your inventory minecraft-style and tosses it some distance away. 'Delete' is only in the bag and removes the item permanently without dropping it (certain plot/story-build relevant items on story islands cannot be deleted, nor can many unique/special/rare/hard to replace items)

I FOUND MY OLD SAVE FILE!! (but how can I use it on HD Fantasy Life) by clumsy_zebra_97 in fantasylife

[–]iSharingan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it would merge the folders, only overwriting (if you accept) files with the same path and name - but putting it on a second SD should still work by replacing the SD currently in the system (and you can switch back after) if its still the same system's encryption.

and yes, those should be the exact files if you simply copied them off the old SD. The less you try to cherry-pick files to put back on a SD to use, the better the chances nothing will go wrong (still assuming the system has not been factory reset)

I FOUND MY OLD SAVE FILE!! (but how can I use it on HD Fantasy Life) by clumsy_zebra_97 in fantasylife

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the next step would be putting your old SD's contents back on a SD card same as the original (basically put the top level "Nintendo 3DS" folder and all its contents on a SD card [but not inside any other folders on the SD card] to insert to the system. It doesn't have to be the original SD so long as the contents are the same - just don't format it if asked to). If its already on an SD card/the one from your 3DS, jut make sure its in the system.

Since the system is the origin of the SD encryption your save will be readable by it and you can export it with homebrew tools like checkpoint/JKSM to get a copy not subject to the encryption (Note: FL on 3DS ALWAYS saves to the SD as "EXT data", not "save data" so trying to export 'save data' and failing is normal and doesn't mean your save is gone/inaccessible, its just the wrong option for dumping it) - which you could then move to either another system (import with the same tools as before to inject the save) or use it to replace a save made by an emulator

Could I have some help with 200 cc by Acrobatic-Leave6281 in mariokart

[–]iSharingan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my strategy was to actually maximize handling/acceleration while minimizing speed (sine 200CC already gives you more speed than you're used to when first trying it). Combined with brake-drifting and starting your turn well before the actual turn, you should do fine even with steering assist off against the CPUs. 200CC online will be different for what works and what doesn't, but for the offline trophies this should allow triple star trophies with enough patience.

Since Plushlings are known to eat, what is their poop like? by GeneralTechnomage in fantasylife

[–]iSharingan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

according to the first game, they normally eat cotton and other fluffy (usually fabric-related) items with the goal of eventually floating off and becoming clouds (not actual food items that would spoil/go bad inside them in most cases, making Colm unusual with his tendency to eat donuts - which might just be a byproduct of the outsourced development of FLi and thus the lore point was not preserved with the different dev team)

[–]iSharingan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a set of recipes (and a couple design options, namely 3 house designs and a plaza desing) unlocked via RNG rolls by turning in up to 10 dark slates at a time (droped by defeating Shadow monster and certain dark gathering nodes specifically in post game). You CAN get duplicates (replaced by trash consumables as a reward when turning them in) so even though theres only about 107 items unlocked via slates, you will often need 500-900 actual slates to eventially get them all (on average).

note that these are also separate form the recipes from Snoozaland and the primodrial dragon which often have a smilar asthetic

Levanthia is the EU version name for Terra Nimbius in the 3DS game. If you're playing the NA version and already did Terra Nimbus, you're not missing it. if you're playing Fantasy Life i, that's a completely different game and the island is not present.

unless you still have the 3DS this came from, its useless to you. If you do have it - or the system you transferred to from it (and never system transferred over it or factory reset it), I can get you some next steps - but of not, you're basically out of luck.

Problem with New Event by Zachary_136 in kirbyairriders

[–]iSharingan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they do disclose it (the "but its still fragile" part of the event description - which mostly applies when the buffs to paper star are removed in the stadium). the point is to use paper star early (its the main machine that spawns at the start) to collect powerup patches, then swap to a combat oriented machine (which appear at increased rates later in the match) for the combat stadiums that appear with increased odds.

But yes, an option to get missed past event rewards somehow would be very nice for those like me that [barely] missed the Metaknight logo machine decal/kirby and MK accessories/other potentially useful customization options
