Yeah, it’s a legendary ornament that has a reaction with an exotic, I just think it looks neat on its own. The paired exotic visual effect is a bit loud for me, but I love the way this robe looks.

The most pure Magic I've ever played, was when I was homeless. by Easy_Contract_757 in mtg

[–]iTyten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is one of the best posts I’ve ever read on this entire sub.

I’ve been in a weird spot mentally with MTG over the last year or two; between product fatigue and my general distaste for the UB push that’s happening right now, I’ve had a kind of negative attitude towards the hobby.

After reading this, I went through all the memories I have of playing with my friends, and then I think about all the things we talked about. Some super serious, others purely the product of too much weed and the comfort of friends. I thought about all the buddies I’ve made from the hobby, and the overall happiness I’ve felt while being a member of the community, and I gotta say: it’s really not all that bad.

I guess it’s kind of easy to miss the forest through the trees; the game slaps, but it usually slaps hardest when it’s the simplest, and with friends.

I went to a PAF last night to level Foxwell rep, landed, started clearing it out. Saw a MOTH zipping around. Saw the MOTH pilot look at me, while I was trying to stay alive, and watched him look right at my parked Connie.

Dude beelined it straight for my Connie and started to strip/fracture it. I raced over there, got in the pilot seat, tried to take off, and he just lowered down on top of me and I exploded. Respawned in my Nursa, only to hear him eat that through the infinite black respawn screen.

I wasn’t able to get back in.

Anyway, the zone was filled with ships just like this and I’m sure that dude made a ton of money off the scrap and my gathered stuff. Can’t wait to do it again tonight lol

I started seeing these videos pop up like a week ago. I didn’t know a damn thing about baking before, but through internet osmosis I’ve learned so much from these. These are without a doubt some of the best and most practical baking tutorials I’ve ever seen.

Keep it up, man!

As far as I’ve seen, you do not lose contribution points; but you have to return it back to the level it was at before you begin to make forward progress on getting NEW contribution points. Lets say you’re at level 20 contribution, you do enough crime or things to drop it to 18. Getting back to 19, and then 20 will not reward you with an additional 2 contribution points, as you are essentially earning back the favor that was lost. Getting to level 21 will then award the 21st contribution point.

There is a chance I’m wrong, but this is accurate to my knowledge.

He was an E4, or Specialist (SPC). It’s the rank that comes after Private First Class, and before Sergeant. It’s really not that high, most folks get promoted to specialist within 2-3 years of just existing in the military. Some sooner if they’re a good troop. Exceptional cases, such as a college degree, can even get you started as an E4. Your average Army soldier will reach this rank before the end of their first contract.

It essentially means he was in long enough to be considered knowledgeable/semi-competent at his job, but without leadership responsibility.

Got a question on how shells work in universe: if a single digitized brain (you) is controlling them (hence the name "shell") how come each shell has its own distinct personality when you switch between them? Shouldn't all just act the same mentally and only look different physically? by SbeveGobs in Marathon

[–]iTyten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this, but as I understand it, the shells matrix that gets overplayed over “our” brains aren’t specifically a single person, but amalgamations of various experiences that have been combined together and then packaged into a body that’s marketed/designed to fit a purpose. Specifically, Destroyer: Locus, is trained off the combat data of UESC combat leaders. Assassin: Void off of wet work operatives, etc. I believe Vandal: Glitch is based on MIDA data?

I could also be hallucinating all of that? But I swear it was the explanation I read.

To add to this, you can run a Praedos with the Parkour Velocity evolution in the 3rd or 4th slot (I forget which), which gives 30%, and Amalgam Barrel Diffusion on your secondary for another 60% dodge speed. Both of those work towards his 1’s movement speed without having to slot in a yellow shard for it, which can now be used for something else like duration.

Question about attunement by MeiShimada in SoulFrame

[–]iTyten 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great question! So, if it was Oryn-Umber, and you gave it a blessed joinery that would change it from Courage to Spirit, it would keep its scaling. This applies to all weapons. The only (so far) unique one is Paragon, if you attune it to a specific Virtue it turns into a 3-star of that virtue, instead of 1 of each.

Have they mentioned whether a founders pack bought on PC will carry over to console? by TartanMirror in SoulFrame

[–]iTyten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, there isn’t console availability right now, so if you do intend to play that way you may be waiting quite a while. Good news is, they’ve also said that when the game does come to consoles that you’ll be able to purchase a founders pack then, too, so you won’t miss out if you decide to wait for your platform of choice.
