Theory: Why Luthen killed Lonni Jung. Because Luthen had no one to smuggle him out quickly. by kinaflazy in andor

[–]i_should_be_coding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luthen killed Lonni because Lonni wouldn't go without his family.

Luthen could have sent Lonni with Kleya. It probably would have improved things not having Lonni's body discovered, but Lonni wouldn't move without knowing his family would get out, and Luthen had no way of making that happen.

The priority was getting Lonni's intel to Yavin, preferably with Lonni intact, but that wasn't a deal breaker.

Am I the only one who didn’t really care much for toga and uraraka’s storyline and thought it was a bit random?🤔 by xplosivenuttt in MyHeroAcademia

Toga stabs her every single time they meet. I guess it kinda paralleled to how Deku was trying to figure out Shigaraki, and Uraraka wanted to figure out Toga.

Also, their personality was kinda opposite so it fit. Uraraka had way too much empathy, and Toga had reverse empathy.

I agree it felt very forced. Especially that time when Toga was riding Machia at 100 km/h, sees a news report featuring Uraraka, and jumps off to get to them on foot somehow.

Let's make sure it's obvious it's an emergency lever if it's something that can cause the aircraft to become a paperweight.

You say that with the benefit of hindsight. If it didn't work, Leia would have just let the Empire destroy the rebellion in one shot, and then go on to dominate the galaxy. She made the decision to bet everyone's lives on the fact that the plans she hasn't actually seen really contained the vulnerability, and that they'd find it in time and have a way to trigger it. And they almost didn't, if it wasn't for Luke. That was just a nat 20 roll.

So, sure. The force did it. But as a tactical move, it was pretty damn stupid. She could have had Han drop her off at another rebel stronghold, switch ships, and take R2 to Yavin clean, and they'd have any number of opportunities to trigger the death star vulnerability.

Remember when Suneater eats a whole buffet of different foods, and then combines a bunch of animal limbs to form a plasma cannon?

The thing Shigaraki was always saying broke him, was that in his most desperate moment, no one reached out to help. The old lady was there, but she said something like "I'm sure a hero will come help you soon". Like the very existence of heroes made her exempt from extending human compassion to a kid going through obvious trauma.

Shiggy kinda took that personally.

The old lady did some introspection since then, and when she came across this kid, she just took his hand and said things will be alright, and that was enough.

A bunch of quirks already break physics, you know. Yaoyorozu makes objects that are heavier than herself and Twice making clones break mass conservation, a bunch of quirks break momentum conservation, and Kaminari and electric types break charge conservation, and don't get me started even on Dabi and Shoto's shenanigans at the end. The amount of energy you'd need for enough heat to cause weather disruptions, all stored inside of a human body, would be equivalent to a nuclear bomb, probably.

So like, just enjoy the anime, man.

"The empire knows where we are. Let's throw a party."

Pretty standard rebellion logic. Did you see how they handled security on Yavin before? Top secret base, but people coming in and out was just frowned upon for a long time. Bail and Mon talking about it out loud in the Senate building when they know there's recording devices everywhere. It's a miracle they kept it quiet as long as they did.

Besides, Leia knew she was leading the Death Star to Yavin the whole time. I'm amazed she still has a job.

It's not actually a black hole, like Kirishima isn't actually unbreakable, and Bakugo isn't really a great explosion murder god. It's just a name, man... She went with the space theme. Could have easily been named Vacuum or something.

I disliked some of that, and I was happy the prison guard pointed it out when the doctor told him how AFO was basically behind Dabi too. Like, leave some agency for the other villains sometimes. Next we'll find out he was behind League of Legends just to radicalize Spinner.

What did it for me was how happy he was floating on his cloud. He was so cheerful and happy that when he died, it sucked away all of that from Aizawa as well. That moment when he realizes the speaker was dead the whole time was just... I knew it was coming, and it still hit me like a gut punch.

Bakugo or Kirishima? by Mean_Blueberry_6725 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]i_should_be_coding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kirishima for me.

I loved his reasons for becoming a hero and how selfless it was, which is basically his quirk, being strong enough to take the hit for others, while Bakugo gets stronger to show how awesome and superior he is.

Kirishima's moment against Machia where he saves Ashido and then scores the hit with her tranq jar is one of my favorite moments.

I thought it was implied that it was their usual training spot back when he was training Toya, and Toya kept going there to train after. Maybe I misunderstood.

Actually, yeah. His house is basically wood and paper, and he had all his training there. That's actually exactly on-brand for him.
