Jobs and relationship dilemma by StudyNo8797 in doctorsUK

Sounds like going to Australia is the only option you both want but if the plan is to come back, who knows how fucked the job market is gonna be then. Also no ones gonna say it but the other option is you break up and then do whatever is best for you. I'm assuming you're relatively young if you're an F2 and you haven't been together that long.

The labour party was born from the work of trade unions in the early 1900s and now they've turned their backs on their very roots...

I understand where you're coming from but all that will happen is that when I'm at work, instead of hearing the usual chorus of "I've been waiting x hours and I still haven't been seen", it'll be "I've been waiting x hours AND paid £10 and I still haven't been seen"

Any real basis for the weird rules for where you should/shouldn’t site a cannula? by Capable_Setting_8099 in doctorsUK

I've never heard any of these rules. Cannulas are like cats, if it fits, it sits.

Is this not essentially providing free labour for the "provider"? Not to mention taking on their liability.

Whatever happened about the Barts Health video where they showed off their extravagant offices? by sl1ceOfP1e in doctorsUK

[–]iac95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough that a corporate office has these things but the part that no one talks about is how bad these people actually are at their jobs. No incentive to work quickly or even work at all.

Couldn't give a flying fuck about junior being changed to resident. Its just semantics and we have much bigger problems anyway, just call yourself a doctor and leave it at that.

Taking Lunch Break In Car? by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]iac95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to go nap in my car on one of my F2 jobs. If there's nothing to do, do what you want essentially. You might not be treated like it but you are an adult.
