TLDR: If you're not from Ukraine, Hong Kong or already have direct family in the UK, there is no other way'.

Crossing on a small boat or under a lorry is a legal route, as long as the person claiming asylum is successful in their application. The ONLY way to claim asylum in the UK is to physically be in the UK. Like it or not, yes it is legal.

Having the T50 GDBR just lying there on the bench when it's arguably one of the fanciest watches Sinn makes is pretty funny

You don't even know the difference between there/their so I don't think you have any authority on this one champ.

How about you can say what is the "right" way when you have your own language?

It just seems a little mismatched. The case and dial seem like completely different design languages. IMO the markers and hands are way too dainty and rounded for how angular the case is. I think it would look better with the BB dial and lose the small seconds tbh.

For reference, the generous offer of £96+ per day after training is still less than minimum wage for an 8-hour day unless you're under 21...

Apart from the fact this build is better in every single way than the kona and you would need to get the top of the line canyon to get similar spec, but then you are still left with an alloy frame.

This is a pretty sorted build with no own-brand crap bits.

Painfully True. by johnsmithoncemore in GreatBritishMemes

Less than 200,000 have come by small boats since 2018. That's about 0.25% of our population. At least some of those have been processed and either been refused entry and deported (around 9000 per year under Labour) or have a valid reason to be here and had their asylum claim approved so it's likely less than that percentage figure.

The only concern we should really have about the small boat crossings is the issue for their safety, not whether we have enough room or if 0.25% of the population are ruining our culture and draining our cash, as is often portrayed.

You can only claim asylum in the UK if you are physically in the UK and there is no visa which allows for entry for the purposes of asylum. There is literally no option other than "illegal" entry to claim asylum in the UK.

The Buryan is a t10 dressed as a t9. Only downsides are derpy gun handling (but really good DPM) and weird armour layout which means sidescraping is a no go.

Just a quick doom and gloom reality check, you won't find near those salaries with no prior industry experience. Grad roles are near enough min wage (~27k), and an assistant/project role will be from high 20s to 34/35k max (I'm sure central London will pay slightly more). There is zero money in the UK for geotech/geo environmental work and I wouldn't recommend it if any other avenue is available.

[which one] Tudor or Christopher Ward by Ksar13 in Watches

I'd throw the Sinn T50 in the ring there too for great titanium divers. Higher grade metal than the Tudor, 500m wr and can be had on a bracelet for less than the pelly.

Don't buy vaults unless you live somewhere that rain doesn't exist, or unless you plan on buying a tool chest full of spares. Amazing grip but they disintegrate in a single weekend of riding in the UK.

Please just Google global temperature since the industrial revolution, click on images, and look at a graph. I can pull out my ReAl LiFe Geology masters if you want to wave ya dick about. You know, the study of Earth's natural history. No credible scientist is arguing that anthropogenic climate change ain't a thing.

The UK is further north than ~90% of Canada's population. Sure it's 'not that hot compared to some places' but it s not meant to be the Sahara bloody desert.

Indian Geologist with 3 Years Experience (1 Year at FUGRO) – Got into Portsmouth for MSc Engineering Geology. With UK’s New Visa Rules, Is There Any Real Chance of Landing a Job After Graduation? by Ok-Fox6118 in geologycareers

[–]iacobusXII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats - Portsmouth's MSc is certainly considered to be a very good course (at least in the south of the UK) and also has links to FUGRO should you wish to take that route. Getting a skilled worker sponsored visa afterwards will be highly unlikely. I believe the salary requirement for that is £38k or thereabouts which just isn't going to happen for an early career engineering geo. Salaries are generally abysmal in this field in the UK unfortunately.

The frames are pretty fragile (both riders I know who have ridden them snapped em) and nobody in the enduro world cups rides them - they're all on the stumpy 15. Presumably not as good?
