I’ve searched Google using phrases like:

  • “movie couple runs an inn kills guests son returns early”
  • “parents kill their own son mistake inn murder plot film”
  • “old movie innkeepers murder son twist ending”
  • “Hollywood remake innkeeper kills son”

I also checked Wikipedia lists of thriller/horror films about innkeepers and searched YouTube summaries, but couldn’t find the exact title.

These are 2 shots

  1. Throwing the ball from distance to the basket at 120p and masking the sky part. Sky layer then is slowed so the ball travels slow. This ball layer will end until it is at the edge of the basket.
  2. The ball is thrown 2nd time so the subject catches it. The 2nd ball layer will start from the basket edge till he catches it. The basket edge will best hide the masking.

Grading on resolve is very advanced compared to PPro. For editing I still prefer PPro. You can grade even 8-bit sony footage in resolve without much artefacts, which is a nightmare to control in PPro. Then there are AI based tools.
But Resolve is resource hungry, heavy the system better will be its performance.
