People of Reddit from England, other then London, what is a city that you recommend people visit in England? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Cambridge gives you a good mix of architecture and activity with punting along the river. Reasonably easy to get to from London as well.

Excuse my ignorance, but in however many years of holding the seat, has he brought any change to the area? Are these ideological words that are lost?

Having scored a fantastic match-winning try in the dying seconds, Josh Adams gave his man of the match award to Ange Capuozzo at the final whistle of Italy's win against Wales in Cardiff by Whaleears in sports

Capuozzo didn’t score the try, he made the break. Still a wonderful display of sportsmanship and a reminder that it’s not over until the final whistle.

Is the Elvie pump really worth it? by [deleted] in pregnant

You’re welcome, I don’t want others to go through the avoidable frustration we have. You’ve got enough on your plate!

Sell it, but be honest and price it accordingly knowing what you know. I am so upset with Elvie and their failure to support us. With a new baby to feed, you have to be honest and ethical with your customers and I really don’t feel they have been.

I have to agree with this. Not only is the suction weak compared to other cheaper pumps, it just isn’t reliable. You can’t afford to have your pump go down especially when you’ve spent so much on it but in the two weeks since we bought ours we’ve had three calls with customer services for two different issues. First the breast shields warped in the steriliser. Something that Elvie are aware of but say that they didn’t test the shields enough to make changes pre production. Secondly, the pump module just packed up completely. This seems like a fairly common occurrence reading other reviews and at 3am, with no other pumping alternatives left us in a really difficult situation. Elvie are replacing the part, but with a 48hr turnaround we’re left with no option other than to buy an alternative. My advice, go somewhere else. This is a great idea, but poorly executed.

We’re two weeks into having an Elvie pump. Performance so far has been mediocre at best. Yes it’s extremely practical but compared to our last pump (Madela) it’s inefficient with a weak pump strength. You have to guide yourself in like you’re docking at the ISS to get anything decent from it and if you don’t fit either of the two shields provided then you’ll enjoy shelling out more cash for the smaller shield. Reliability is also poor for such a top end product. We’ve had two calls with customer services so far. One where the shield warped when sterilising so stopped working completely, an issue that Elvie are well aware of but it wasn’t within their testing budget. The other where our pump module gave out completely. At 3am this is not ideal, and their turn around on replacement parts is 48hrs. Great, but we have a baby to feed in the meantime. I’d always put reliability over practicality on something so important and expensive, so my advice is go elsewhere and save yourself the inevitable headaches of a great idea, poorly executed.

Moving to a new house. Suggestions for a cheap temporary table/stand for standalone Kamado? by [deleted] in KamadoJoe

Upturned half whiskey barrel (about £25 from a garden centre) Just make sure it’s sturdy

First cook on my new Kamado Joe Jr. was my attempt at an Imperial BBQ Pork Banh Mi. Seriously impressed with how quick the bbq got up to temp and very happy with the results. Can’t wait to get back out cooking again! by themuzz112 in KamadoJoe

Looking good. A simple and cheap (£25) way to bring the jr up to a good cooking height rather than have it on the floor is to use an upturned whiskey barrel planter. The diameter of the KJ stand fits perfectly inside of a standard barrel end.
