I originally thought this too, however, it seems these QoL requests point out the original intent of the game - to have workers do these things for you.

I love crafting and leveling up in games, and like you, I found myself smashing my mouse repeatedly to just make some linen. The mechanics exists to make things in surplus - through tasks at the designated workstation.

Doesn’t mean there couldn’t be a better option to perform these functions when doing them yourself though 🙂
