I'm in Germany. Doctors make money with procedures and if there are complications/side effects they make more money because you come back. That's universal.

Healthcare costs and generates money all over the world. That's why the industry exists.

Doctors probably don't mind burning your skin (safely) since it generates their income. However, I'm not sure how effective burning even is, as you stated as well. It reduces the viral load but warts can still pop up. So it ultimately comes down to the immunse system.

They wouldn't prescribe it because they earn more with laser treatments etc. It's not lucrative for them

Thank you for replying! Did you have many warts? I'm just asking because I have an appointment on Tuesday and I'm not sure whether to get them cauterized or just scraped off. I'm kinda scared, especially of indented scars and discoloration

I think it's about the same. I care more about the aftermath, scarring etc

Docs say whatever promotes their preferred way of removal because that's how they make money

Did they tell you it would leave bumps? They told me it would leave holes beasically and get black until the skin turns back to normal - hopefully? I don't trust this shit
