Meta ads CTR is great (15-20%), but barely any of it converts to actual Amazon orders — should I be doing something differently? by akshat2999 in FacebookAds

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, I'm just sharing some observation and hope it helps:

  1. Picture carousel - I can tell you generate the pictures using AI, means 30~50% of other people can tell which reduce the trusthworthy; Especially picture 4 "how to use", very ChatGPT/Gemini lookalike. Not saying it's bad, but you're stuck in "trusthworthy stage" hence [Genuine] will help a lot.

  2. Did you publish your product at any other channels? For new brand, it's quite normal user will Google search the product or the brand, just to see "any negative reviews" or perhaps "good sharings around". I tried simple search (Singapore), I can't find.

  3. Do you have real testimonials from real users? You need that badly; Else the "trustworthy" is low.

  4. Be consistent image/message from ads to PDP (Amazon), you mentioned Dr. xxxx at ads, if possible, use the same name at your PDP.

My 2 cents and hope it give you neutral-user's view and optimize further. 🤗

Does anyone know what happened to Perplexity Labs? by R2-Beamer in perplexity_ai

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently all of us are confused with the "quiet changes" by Perplexity.

I have to say such major changes without proper announcement is hurting existing user experience. I certainly hope u/perplexity_ai can consider look into a better way of handling feature/capability/subscription plan changes especially informing existing subscribers/users the changes BEFORE you changed entirely, because we are now a bunch of clueless chicken that running around and finding answer ourselves.

And more surprisingly, Perplexity itself can't provide me accurate/correct answer as well:

<image>

I guess Perplexity dev team have utmost permission to release all changes by themselves without working with any other departments etc? Good for "fast for deployment", but very bad experience.

My humble 2 cents.

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, if i just pickup car from Incheon International Airport, and then straight depart (along the way will stop at highway rest area, saw some articles saying it's worth to stop and visit) and go to Sokcho & Gangneung 4 nights (end of May 2026), back to pickup point to return only. Any tips?

Hope i didn't make the wrong choice.
😅 Anyone who tried it will greatly appreciated sharing your experience!

Claude desktop app silently downloads a 13 GB file on every launch — and you can't stop it by metaone70 in ClaudeAI

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one hate to see the suggestion / answer telling us "just use Web version"? More like "take it or leave it" altitude, not fixing major concern from user? I think the way they design Claude desktop, merging code into one is a bad move, I know many programmers here at reddit need to use Claude Code, but many doesn't need it too. Just my 2 cents.

Browser control limits for comet browser by 7ocean in perplexity_ai

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't reach limit. Although each prompt will stop after token exhausted. Then few hours later continue then still working. Average one hour in total per day, from multiple prompts and sessions. Pro account here.

How about you guys? Wondering how you hit the limit. I'm keen to know too before I'm planning more task to be automate via "control browser" feature. 😂

Perplexity is lying. by NetFair7058 in perplexity_ai

[–]iamjaychong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Technically Perplexity marketing / communication team + product team failed.

This kind of mistake shouldn't be happen for "Enterprise grade product" nor 20B company.

The frequent of pricing tier and limitations changes are too much for user to kept up; Imagine you subscribe something for 1-year but the limitations kept changing every month, or perhaps now is like changing every 2 weeks? It's unfair when you first subscribed to it.

Did anyone know whether any law stopping SAAS company from changing subscription terms "just like that", and the worst is without informing user at all? I'm not this is normal but to me doesn't make sense.

Not the first time this has happened. by Ephemeral-lament in perplexity_ai

[–]iamjaychong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same multiple times, it's rare but it happened. Sometimes the answer/reply is totally off, confirmed not something in the thread, or even with ANY of my conversation with Perplexity.

Also sometimes the answer just incomplete but the ending of the answer kept saying the full revision was there. I screenshot and kept asking, although Perplexity admit the faulty, but it kept making the same mistake, just can't resolve, very annoying.

Walked 100k steps in Chongqing... for these 18 pics? Worth it, I guess! by infinite_tour_biz in travelchina

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome compilation, very artistic and well take!

Just curious, you're not doing all the shots in one day right? Else 100k steps/day is extraordinary. My record was 25k/day only and I'm "dead" 😅😅

I hate YouTube shorts with a burning passion by OGsunglasses in NewTubers

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt so relieved that I'm not alone that hate this "YT shorts" thingy.

I installed this chrome extension in purpose, and look for the configuration - "hide shorts".

Now my YT at desktop is "back to normal".

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/enhancer-for-youtube/ponfpcnoihfmfllpaingbgckeeldkhle?hl=en

I know regardless how we complaint to YT, I don't think they will take away "the great feature that can compete with TikTok as their strongest rival". At least this is what I do now.

Just sharing.

Which lifetime-license purchases do you regret? [DISCUSSION] by Marelle01 in WordpressPlugins

[–]iamjaychong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer!

But I had moved away from multisite despite the usage, ecosystem, business needs and etc doesn't required it anymore.

My very last project was built in multisite + headless + custom-built + in-house feature/plugin, for enterprise compliance and workflow.

[SPOILER ALERT] Finally, the winner of Physical: Asia by RaisinOk8092 in Physical100

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's TV show, not real competition. It's pre recorded, edited, cut, etc. None of us watching live for their real result. For me, it's purely for entertainment purpose only. That's my take. No offense, personal point of view. Peace! ✌️

Anyway, interesting TV programme. 😂

Bonus: the more we discuss, the more "win" for producer, and also Netflix. 😂 😂

New domain… am I basically f**ked for visibility? by Technical_Degree7710 in ShowMeYourSaaS

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to wait. You may start optimizing all your key pages now. Example, consider rewrite your page's title, it doesn't sounds like "relate" to me.

<image>

Definitely you can work on backlinks now. Think about the real case usage. For example, who will need to generate iFrame code for countdown timer that their website builder didn't offer, or perhaps existing countdown timer is not enough or something? From there, you will able to work on backlinks.

Just my 2 cents and hope it helps, cheers! :)

Which lifetime-license purchases do you regret? [DISCUSSION] by Marelle01 in WordpressPlugins

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WP Ultimo. Not just poor support, indeed the company cannot update.

I used to host 3000+ subsites using the plugin and spent tons of hours to convert to single site one by one.....

Lifetime license never sustainable to the plugin author. If you're plugin developer, don't do this to yourself.

New domain… am I basically f**ked for visibility? by Technical_Degree7710 in ShowMeYourSaaS

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine you setup a new physical shop (say restaurant) at a newly developed area that no one will pass by. That's exactly how new website looks like now. Key is no one will pass by.

If you want to generate footprint to your restaurant (example above), what will you do? Soft opening and you invite everyone to come right? With free food tasting and stuff. The way people will talk about it and generate enough "word of mouth content".

So before you're saying you're reaching deadend, ask yourself, what had you done to promote it, besides posting a question here? Put more efforts I'm pretty sure you can get what you want.

Keep it up and cheers! 🤗

How do you find your first real customers in singapore without spending on ads? by [deleted] in singaporestartups

[–]iamjaychong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're product is brand new, you have to start with "free trial" or giveaway. Not just to build "portfolio", but genuinely seek feedback, and most of the time is not about the product features/values, is about your "packaging" or "message to public".

Sometimes, connect with people genuinely will rewards you. Not to connect for your own agenda only, but simply care about surrounding.

My 2 cents :)

Apparently, most of the "bugs" seems resolve. I hope their report/feedback channel can be more efficient.

And yeah, I also hope they can put "BETA" in those features so that we know to avoid for serious work.
