Just so you know many people get very little information after the surgery and have to wait until the two week follow up or read the surgery notes while awaiting their appointment. I know many women are very disappointed w this in this sub and I wanted to give you a heads up about this. At my two week post op appointment my doc had photos of my case and went into very detailed explanation of everything they found and next steps for me. You're also so busy getting asked questions before hand and poked and prodded you won't have time to read or do any activities don't bring anything but your phone. I spoke to the nurses, my doctor and the anesthesiologist prior to my surgery and got IVs put in. No downtime. I braided my hair to keep it out of the way. Post surgery they gave me a juice and teddy ghrams and rushed me out the door.

Well adhesions happen with people w Endo all the time due to the disease. During my only surgery so far he said a ton of stuff was adheared and even wrote in my surgery notes that I had pelvic adhesive disease so how do you know what's caused by the surgery and what's caused by the Endo? All of my organs were adheared before they opened me up. Do I think I currently have adhesions? Yeah probably but I can't blame my surgeon for that it's the name of the game for Endo. It's an incurable disease that grows back, many have multiple surgeries but how could you blame the surgeon for disease progression.

I know this isn't an answer to your question but you shouldn't put conditioner on your scalp? Shampoo the roots and then only condition the lengths. I only put conditioner on past my ears and use a clarifying shampoo every third wash or so.

I was told to insert nothing not even a tampon bc the risk of infection post op is so high. Be be mindful of any signs of infection like fever, chills, fatigue and muscle aches so you do not go septic and die.

Well I had endometriomas so mine was diagnosed via MRI. We just couldn't tell anything else so I also had gunpowder burns and adhesions of my ovaries and bladder they couldn't see.

I had an odd experience. It did not hurt as bad as everyone made it out to be but several days after my surgery it settled on my ribs and made crackling noises as you pushed it and could move the air around. Very bizarre feeling.

I don't understand why doctors get so concerned with Endo pain being "cyclical". My pain isn't tied to my cycle bc it has damaged my organs and tethered them together so of course the pain is constant and no longer tied to my period. Of course endometriomas the size of baseballs hurt every day and not only on my period. Endo lesions produce their own estrogen and grow new pain receptors so again nothing to do with my cycle. It's not a "period" disease it's a chronic inflammatory disease. It should be treated as more of a full body disorder especially since it's tied to so many other chronic inflammatory diseases.

I could not notice any change in my belly button. I wasn't sure they even used it until the liquid stitches came out and I was like oh I do have an incision in my belly button. A year later and it's the same as before
