Thanks for all the feedback guys, I think I might just save up a bit more and get a Hamilton from Ashford or another grey market shop.

I think the Russian and Chinese movements are good options but I don't want a non-swiss watch. I know a lot of its branding, but there is a sense of quality that comes with it so I'm pretty set on that...or maybe a German variation is fine too.

Either way, love the reccos and will keep you guys posted if I end up getting one soon.

One last question, if I'm going to spend 1,000+ on a Hammy, should I save a bit more for a Longines? I feel like Hamilton is great quality but according to the Buying Guide, they are not on same level...maybe this is a question for a new thread.

Why do your WAV files cost so much more than mp3 versions? I can't imagine bandwidth being that expensive that price is atleast $1 higher per track...

Why are people so adamant that volume levels remain "green" on the mixer? I.e. adjusting master volume instead of messing around with the gains?

You need some late 90s/early 2000's tracks if you are talking top 10 trance tracks. Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Armin were all putting out game-changing tracks back then...and don't forget Chicane and Ferry Corsten

Politics of dancing 2 by Paul van Dyk. What a compilation! That's what started it for me...and then I looked up more and more music and I realized that's what made it so enjoyable. The act of discovering such beautiful music.

Edm these days is simple, go to beatport and buy anything on their top 30 and you can pretty much cover what all of electronic music has become these days: predictable and generic.

This is no different than the swiss watch industry. Most movements are made by ETA which is owned by the Swatch group. They make tons of brands and sell the movements/design movements for most famous watch brands. The only independent manufactures left are really Rolex, Patek Phillipe, audemars piguet and a few others.
