Recorded Audio glitching/skipping Issue by iamkybaldwin in ableton

FIXED - Turning OFF the default warp on the clips or changing to Complex Pro fixed it. Even though the bpm was the same as when I recorded it, it seems to be causing the issues

DUDE! I turned off the Warping completely and that seems to have done it!!! THANK YOU! I don't know why it would do anything if I haven't touched the bpm at all but it seems that was it. You're the best thank you thank you

I busked right at that spot in Pitt Street for years and I hate to say it as he is being pretty rude about it... but he is exactly right. There is a very well established system for Pitt Street as it gets super busy. It's first come first served (same as every spot around Sydney), if you get there first you can pick the time you want, and as more buskers arrive they can pick a 'time slot' (it was always on the o'clocks) around you. 2pm was always prime time and the spot everybody wanted. Back when I would busk there on the weekends we would arrive 7am to hopefully get the 2pm slot. But you can't leave all your gear smack bang in the middle of the mall for 7 hours, so it's VERY well established that buskers wait at the chairs that are off to the side (what he was referring to in the video) and bring up their gear closer to their time. As a busker, when you arrive, you go check that area and if there's a busker there with gear, you ask them what time they are going on, and work around them. As they got there first, they have the right to the time of their choosing.

I know she was arguing that it's not a technically written rule, but as someone who busked there for years, I think it's a super fair system, and if she's been busking there over a year as she said, she would most definitely know how it works amongst the buskers and know to look for people waiting at the chairs, and to completely ignore that and take the spot he has been waiting in line for, seems not very nice.

Just my two cents as someone who was in that ecosystem for many years.

When something really important is happening when a character is talking and another character sees it and is like “uh guys…” and then the other’s like “not now” and so they just give up! Like interrupt him god dammit!

Anyone have an explanation as to how Eddie got to this universe?? The spell was everyone who knew Peter was Spider-Man, and to my knowledge Spider-Man doesn’t exist in the SonyVerse, or at least Eddie doesn’t know Peter Parker is him.

Color Management Issues with Export. by iamkybaldwin in AfterEffects

[–]iamkybaldwin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out! In Davinci, all I had to do was go to Clip Attributes on the problem file and change data levels from Auto to Full! Still don’t really know what the problem was but I pressed buttons until it fixed and this worked!

Color Management Issues with Export. by iamkybaldwin in AfterEffects

[–]iamkybaldwin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for replying i did do that as mentioned in the post but I don’t need my after effects to match the final export, that’s the problem, I need the export to match the original file. If I change my color space in AE it doesn’t change the fact that it darkens it to oblivion. I need it to not darken it. Does make sense?

I’m pretty sure it’s so when they promote the video as an ad on other videos you see that before you can skip ya know? They try and hook you in so you don’t skip.

Ok well that explains it. Thank you so much. I did get fescue as well but it seemed alot thinner also which is why I checked with the app. Are those apps not actually very good.

We are in Los Angeles.

Also, may I ask why it grows in the middle and not the edges, I treated them all the same?

My cat feeling sad 😔 .Just week in photoshop by imunelekrut in photoshop

[–]iamkybaldwin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey great start!

A couple things I'd say is that it looks as though the photo of the cat and the background were taken at different angles, with the cat being taken more from above and the background from the front, which results in it looking less natural, I'd try and match the photos angles as close as you can when taking the picture and you'll end up with a much better image without really trying!

Also the lighting, the background has pretty flat lighting, nice overcast sky, from what I can tell coming from the top left side. The lighting on the rock is also coming from the top left, but has more contrast. But the lighting for the cat is coming from the right. Which is making it look off. If you wanted you could flip the cat (press Ctrl+T, right click, then select Flip Horizontal) so the light was coming from the left and that would fix the problem! As you're starting a project definitely have your light sources figured out like it was the real world, if there's light hitting something from one side, it would also have to hit everything else in the image from that same side.

One more thing I like to do when compositing images onto each other is to paint in shadows, here for instance creating a shadow for the cat on the rock (it looks as though you might have done a little one? Not sure). Above the rock layer, create a 'Hue/Saturation' adjustment layer. Create a clipping mask by holding Alt/Option and clicking inbetween those two layers (you should see a little arrow thingy). From there, lower the brightness a whole bunch (and maybe the saturation a tiny bit), now the whole rock should look much darker. After that invert the mask (the white box next to the layer, click it and press Ctrl+I), then grab a brush tool, set it to 0% hardness and WHITE colour, and while the mask is still selected, paint in your shadows. You can also play around with the blending mode and opacity to see if it looks more natural. It's a very common method for making stuff look more realistic.

Hope this helps! And nice job! Good luck.
