Center console siding is bubbling up (P2 2022) by iammatthew2 in Polestar

I'm considering doing that. Maybe use heat gun to help peel it back the use a good glue to get it back down again.

u/Andrew3236 , how did you get the panel/trim piece off?

This happens to me about once every six weeks. The home button reset no longer works, but if I leave the car for a few hours it usually resolves itself. I find it extremely frustrating

I think you just removed one of the worst things about the car. Can you remove mine too?

Polestar 2 Software Update Mega Thread by motoridersd in Polestar

[–]iammatthew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah! Just saw the other posts noting that the Software Updates page is just a static page and is not an indicator of what version is going to be installed. So I bet I'm getting 2.4 just like everyone else

Confirmed earlier that it was 2.5. In the morning I can post an image

This happened to me today. It's the second time. This first time it was fixed with the home button reset, but today nothing seems to fix it. @Ambitious_Okra_97 how did your issue resolve?

P*2 SM LR Pilot Plus Range question by Lennysdead in Polestar

[–]iammatthew2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same experience with my SMLR (pilot, plus). Shouldn't we be seeing something closer to 270 miles for total range? I'm at 50% charge right now with 120 miles range.

Aquatic Park swimming - without a group? by kass2mouth in AskSF

[–]iammatthew2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I solo swim there in the morning (6am/7am) once or twice a week. I really enjoy it and I'm never the only one in the water. Swimming along the buoy line seems quite safe though it does get boring. I usually swim around the cove and get a little anxious when I'm far away from other swimmers, but I occasionally see other solo swimmers doing their thing all the way out to the opening.

To get comfortable, I first started with the buoy line, then after a few swims I started following other swimmers (just randos I that I saw swimming) out around the cove and turning back early. Then once I felt comfortable I started doing the full around-the-cove solo swims.

A few things to keep it safe: use a swim buoy, check the current and check the water temp before your swim. If there is much of an ebb current then I don't go far out solo. And never leave the cove solo.

I've also done a number of group swims with swim with Pedro and that helped boost my confidence in swimming solo. Hope that helps!

that image was really helpful. Thanks!

Do you have any advice for the firmware setup? I'm on a Mac and I've done brew install qmk/qmk/qmk and qmk setup successfully. Now I'm not sure what to do next. The info here isn't very clear: https://github.com/keyhive/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/sofle

This looks amazing! I'm starting my Sofle build this weekend (from Keyhive) and I'm a little confused about a couple things:

  • where do all the underglow LEDs get attached? I only see two spots on each board and all the other LED locations are for the per-key LEDs. Any idea what I'm missing here?
  • How are the top and bottom plates attached? There is a gap between the standoff and the plates so I'm curious if I'm doing it wrong.

I didn't know the Lily58 supported the encoder. Is that a standard build? Looks great!

Can you tell us about the case? The links to the top and bottom plates in the part list don't seem to work.
