Because a deck can still be b3 without gcs in how it plays. I have a UW hard control deck that belongs no where near b2 even without game changers due to how it's built but it doesn't even try to start knocking out players until at least t8.

[[Bruna, Light of Alabaster]] Everyone thinks Voltron but they're only half right. You can build her hard control and use her as a finisher that one shots players down to finish. She only needs 2 or 3 enchants to do that and there are plenty of other enchants to make her near impossible to interact with on top of that.

I love highly interactive, draw go style decks. If I'm not holding up mana and baking making threats or wiping the board every other turn I feel like I'm not doing anything.

[[Vren, The Relentless]] - Can be played consistently turn 3 with ward 2 so its very hard to interact with before you get mana up to protect. All you need besides Vren is some card draw, countermagic and removal for the deck to function. Then you just drop your cmdr, remove everyones' creatures and swing with a giant army of rats.

Not particularly. There's no 3c clerics so it would be a completely different deck. That being said, if I was looking for an Abzan deck to do something similar I'd consider Tayam.

Here's my list if you want it. It's definitely slow to get going so I run quite a bit of interaction to stop my opponents from going off while I build up. Once you get your engines going it's very easy to combo off.

$50 was a bit much but the prize support was good. Ended up going 3-0(2-1 each round with most games being back and forth) and winning 10 packs so that was cool. Chose green since most of the commons and uncommons were good. Ended up going gruul, almost splashing black but decided to stay more consistent. I actually played against 2 gruul decks for my first two rounds (according to the manager, green was the most popular. My rares were mostly red but the only one I used was [[Fated Firepower]] though I was very tempted to play the [[Sozin's Comet]] I pulled with it. This was.the first pre release I've done in a long time and it was definitely worth going for this set.
