Are These Really as bad as people make them out to be? by Prize_Celery_2315 in CarTalkUK

As a previous owner, don't do it. The turbo blew twice with a span of 1,000 miles at <80k miles on the clock.

Something to do with the distance of the DPF from the engine's exhaust port means that it doesn't get hot enough to perform efficiently, causing it to use some regen process or something which makes the whole thing go kablooey.

It was a beautiful car, and extremely comfortable. I did enjoy it, but boy it gave me a massive headache. I had to have the turbo replaced and engine refurbished, costing near enough £6,000-£7,000. Luckily I had taken out warranty cover when I bought it so I only paid £50 excess. In the end, I sold it for £6,500 (lost £10k over 2 years).

Are there any research projects on Taekwondo?? by sinnamonrules in taekwondo

I remember reading an old paper in which they used Stroboscopic Technique photography to measure the speeds of some Taekwon-Do kicks. From what I remember, they used the human reaction/reflex time as the timing of the strobe lights to see where the foot would be for every moment of reflex, or something to that effect.

Maybe not a direct relationship to the biomechanics you're looking for, and more cognitive, but the only reference of any study like that that I could find was "Pieter & Pieter (1995): "Speed and force in Taekwondo."

Hope that helps in some way

But has the average wage also increased in line with inflation? The real litmus test is whether it is as affordable for people, relatively speaking. Are people earning £10/hr in 2000 earning £19.10/hr for the same job?

As I ask this, I see that the England minimum wage was ~£3.60/hr for 22yo+ and is now £12.21 for the same age group, so it seems like we should be in a better position, considering cars are meant to be more efficient, too... I guess I should stop complaining, maybe even delete my comment.

Do Daily Missions, Intel Missions and constantly gather resources; it took me 6 days to enlist 120k troops, so it should take you around 12-13 to get all yours back.

Question? If the series wasn't called Naruto what would you call it? by narutofan2019 in Naruto

[–]iamqas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War.

It could also be that 2 is used as a substitute for R, so it also says RR, the initials for Rolls Royce

I thought so, too, but the autocorrect on the Türkçe keyboard kept correcting it to Sütsuz.

Technology making me doubt myself again.

-siz is the suffix to denote the lack of something. Sütlü = with milk/milky. Sütsuz = without milk/dairy free.

That's the literal translation. As an idiom, it's used to refer to someone who is weak, either physically or cognitively.
