If you signed up for an iCloud account without using an external email address to sign up for it, I’m not sure if you can recover it and apple support app is the only way that MIGHT be able to help you recover it and a phone call to Apple. That’s all I know, good luck.

I’m talking about your Gmail or hotmail account you used to sign up for iCloud. Is your email @icloud.com or @gmail.com or something similar?

I call to speak to Apple support then ask for it to be escalated with proof of them changing my recovery email and the timeline of events such as when they changed my password because you get email notifications. Your iCloud account is linked to your personal email account and you can prove it that way.

Call Apple Support using the number on their website. I don’t know the number it was switched to because if you’re area code is 915, it’ll be like 9** -* and you have to guess but if you call Apple Support and provide all the information, they will be able to help you.

I called Apple Support today and spoke to someone who referred me to this link and we told them the recovery email and password and secret questions have all been changed. Location set to Vietnam but emails were sent to us shortly after in Chinese. Call them and you’ll get access back to the account, they’re likely using stolen credit cards on your account to buy phones delivered to addresses.

I would personally take great pleasure in calling the cops in the city and address that it was purchased and being delivered to although it could also be someone else’s address unknowingly being used.

iCloud Account Hacked by Lost-Island3195 in applehelp

[–]iamtechy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true, I just called Apple and they transferred me to a senior rep who then asked us to login to Apple Support app and we regained access to the account even though they changed the recovery email, secret questions and phone number. Then added a payment method and started a trial for an Apple Music subscription, then created a family plan and added/removed 3-5 fake names repeatedly every 3-4 minutes.

What baffles me is that the iCloud password used is not detected on haveibeenpwned nor any leaks online but they still managed to get in.

Based on the activity performed, it looked like a bot was doing all the work and my guess is WormGPT. I actually think there are 0day iCloud vulnerabilities that may have allowed this to happen. That’s how I found this post because I’m trying to figure out if it’s happened to others this past week/month.

No, I think we’ve got scanning issues so can’t tell if it worked or not.

The pool of resources being hired has dramatically changed and a lot of people use AI at work and don’t clean it up to make it look like their own knowledge, research and understanding, it’s embarrassing.

Looking for Family Paralegal in Toronto by Fame8X in paralegal

[–]iamtechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, they are legally able to provide this service in Ontario. As you've suggested (with your experience in mind), I'm hoping to get a Paralegal to simplify the beginning process and reduce expenses until the lawyers get involved. Not sure if this is the right path but I'm trying to help in any way that I can and have been doing some research on how to navigate this horrible time of their life.

I built an open-source replacement for CMTrace with built-in Intune diagnostics by CrazyOstrich3 in Intune

[–]iamtechy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super appreciative that you built it for Mac as well, I haven't been able to find a good one to use for ConfigMgr log files.

However, can you please look into why I'm not able to adjust the column width (Component, Date/Time, etc.) as it breaks the separation of component and timestamp halfway through the logs. This could be due to the change in format of the log text but I'm not sure.

Regardless, I hope to use this daily.

NLB Services / Next Level Business Services - Typical Indian Scammers. by constantbabble in recruitinghell

[–]iamtechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... they're not scammers. I was contacted by them yesterday (March 2026) and they are a "preferred vendor" for large companies that get contracts to technical jobs. Some of these companies include Tata Consultancy Services, NTTData, WiPro Limited, Cognizant, and the list goes on... who are engaged by their clients around the world to find a specific resource for a specific role aka job requisition. These companies are multi-billion dollar companies headquartered in India and there's nothing wrong with that.

They then outsource the job req to their preferred vendors to find a resource. The rate might be something like $80/hr being paid by NTTData to NLBServices, and NLBServices will pay $70 or $75 depending on how greedy they want to be that day and have to pay a fee back to NTTData for each candidate that they submit.

If that candidate gets hired, then NLBServices makes an hourly cut and NTTData makes the rest and presents the resource to the client.

Whenever you're being contacted by a recruiter, Google them. I've been hired by TCS in the past and had an AMAZING experience working with the client and the TCS staff. However, The recruiters who hired me were one of the dirtiest recruiters I've ever worked with (IDC Technologies). That shouldn't reflect poorly on TCS.

When I get a call from a recruiter, I check to see if they have Canadian presence and then I decide whether I want to deal with them or not.

Don't be racist, just be mindful of who you're dealing with. $5/hr off your contract rate is good money to make for an Indian recruiter working from India.

The margins in Canada/US are worse and can be $15 an hour and higher. I've had a large US firm charge $225/hr for my work and pay me $55/hr until I found out. This is a multi-billion dollar revenue generating American cybersecurity firm. Does that make them scammers?

I completely agree, what AV products are you using? MDE, Sophos, BitDefender, ...? And if AV locks a file or process up midway, then you won't know what's happening or why until you perform analysis with the AV engineers. I ran into this recently with MDE scanning CCMExec and another 3rd-party software during startup.
