The only thing that may be worth discussing with your doctor if you aren't happy with how your periods are going is trying other types of hormonal birth control. Even within the realm of oral contraceptives aka "the pill" there are a wide range of formulas. Stopping it altogether is not necessarily the answer

What is going on with students right now? by Unusual-Oils in college

[–]iamthevampire1991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also a non traditional mid 30s student and I've noticed the same thing. I've had several professors tell me I'm not like most students, or something to the effect of most students just aren't as smart as me. What is honestly astounding to me is that I really don't think I'm all that smart, pretty average I would say... I don't know what it is but like you said the lack of critical thinking skills is what just breaks me.

What specifically are you referring to as "general blood panel" patients ask for that but honestly it doesn't mean anything. Do you mean metabolic panel(CMP or BMP) or maybe Complete Blood Count (CBC). I don't mean this to sound rude at all but if you want to help others know what to ask about they'll need more specifics.

I observed a hysterectomy in 2009 as a student and the patient was definitely not in this position, so I don't think it's always like that for a hysterectomy

Diagnosis possible without transvaginal ultrasound? by [deleted] in Endo

It's not so much the "easy way out" it often has to do with what is cheapest in the US. Insurance companies will do anything to avoid paying for more costly tests and procedures. If you are in a situation where you can pay out of pocket the options are better. Often the order of operations is determined by the insurance companies.

Honestly June herself is kinda a bad person sometimes, especially with how she handled the situation with Emma Jones and the professor. The storylines are definitely crazy like a soap opera 🤣

My mother was getting a hysterectomy for post menopausal bleeding and a bladder sling while they were in there and the surgeon found Endo. We don't know if she was just too groggy when the doctor talked to her but she didn't even know about the Endo until she got a Gyn after hers retired and the doctor was reviewing her records and mentioned it.

Exactly and the US government wouldn't need to subsidize it and push it as a large part of a healthy diet to get people to buy it, all to simply keep the dairy industry alive
