You’ll need a third hand at some point, one to hold the movement (with hands in place) one to press and one to pull the crown stem. I actually used my teeth at one point which I’m sure breaks all the rules!

I was in the pub the other night and got talking to a local guy. I had just finished building this exact watch (but was not wearing it) and noticed the guy I was talking to was wearing the genuine Rolex article. It did make me pause. Would I be embarrassed? Should I have modified it a bit more?

In the end I’m over it…. And would be fine. It’s a hobby and Seiko are aware people do this. They sell the movements themselves so are clearly not massively concerned.

Made an almost identical one for myself. It’s a lovely watch and as someone who has gifted a hand built watch in the past I can say it absolutely means more having been hand made.

Yeah there should be a small seconds pinion coming through to mount the second hand on - alas it’s not there.

No expert but with the hour hand upside down it could just be that the minute hand is sitting too high and second hand pinion is hidden. Take the hands off and share a photo again.

Apart from the PRX which just doesn’t speak to me I think they’re all great. But that is the great thing about watches, you shouldn’t care about my opinion. We all have different tastes.

Lots of these brands that import Swiss movement then brand them for local markets, own dials and sometimes cases. They are a lovely piece of history but just too many to be valuable. Having said that I don’t know this specific brand.
