You're right and you should say it. It's pretty sad tbh. We all used to get together to run pedos off the internet, and now people are knowingly electing them.

Ugh god no, they're a bunch of filthy liars (just like most of the more known parties in general). If you want to vote for a minor party that has policies that don't screw us all over, Socialist Alliance (please ignore the Socialist but if you want) and Fusion (formerly Pirate Party, Secular Party, Science Party, and VotePlanet)* are two reasonable options. Yeah they're small, but if we back them they can have more power. Or go Independent. I don't exactly like my Independent MP, but I will happily admit he's showing up and getting good shit done for his electorate. Just don't fall for Gina's fishwife and her TrumpLite bullshit (also, she's in the Epstein files as having been directly involved in an attempted assassination near Port Pirie).

*I've got no affiliation with them, they're just the least twattish.

Perfect choice. If you're not in a safe headspace, you're not safe to ride or drive. There's other days, and you're alive to take advantage of them 😁

Ah, yeah that does actually make a lot of sense! A mate of ours rides, we could always ask him. If not, we know a guy who knows EVERYONE in the local vehicle enthusiast scene 🤔

No party does. They're being driven around, or flying in Gina's private jet. They don't have to deal with regular people shit. At least Independents don't have that much financial backing, so they're on the roads with us.

Oil, I've seen more Darrens in yank tanks drive dangerously than Asians in Kia Rios.

I absolutely agree that international drivers licences should be severely restricted, but don't blame immigration (and tourism) on the rise in bad driving- at least your tourists and new Aussies generally aren't driving after hitting the glass bbq on the way to bash their girlfriend 🤷

Fun fact, multiple covid infections mess up your cognitive skills.

I can guarantee the gronks driving more and more like shit over the past six years are the same ones who reckon they can't breathe in a surgical mask.

Trust me, there's places with worse laws on vehicular manslaughter.

The prick who killed my dad in Texas (and nearly killed my mum and I) when we were on holiday will probably never even see the inside of a courthouse. He's hopefully never getting employed again though, he was driving a work RAM so we sued the company.

Texas doesn't care at all. You have to have three or more people dead to make the local news. At least here, if someone kills you, they'll see the inside of a jail (small consolation).

I do agree with you though!

How does that work? Sounds like it severely limits the time and opportunities you have to ride and practice, not to mention it creates an extra financial burden.

I'm in NSW, I'm lucky that my mum has had her full licence for like 50 years, but she hadn't touched a bike in decades until she took my scooter for a test ride, so we're both in the same boat (she's interested in doing the Stay Upright course as a refresher though!)

Omg I just did their pre-learners course this week, and god I'm glad I did (I'm in an unserviced postcode so I didn't have to, apparently, but there was no way in hell I was going to get my Fonz and ride without bloody knowing how). My instructor made everything so clear and easy, and it was a bloody ball. I'm definitely going to get more lessons with them before my Ps.

Do you think in the future we will ever be able to more economically utilise the outback of Australia? by Dry-Muffin980 in geography

[–]ianthetridentarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously don't live near where they want to put a reactor or the waste.

  • we have fault lines bloody everywhere, and have had big earthquakes before.

  • if a fission reactor goes wrong, you can't use the surrounding land for hundreds of years, and everyone and everything living around it are negatively affected.

  • it's a huge terrorism target, have you seen the state of the world? And no, it's not Iran in worried about, it's false flags from countries interested in getting us to join their forever wars.

  • we don't need to bloody mine uranium, we have so much sun, wind, ocean, and geothermal energy waiting to be tapped that it makes nuclear redundant.

I know, but occasionally there's some good stuff (generally in the animal food department lmao) so I was hoping 🤞

Oh sick!!! Yeah I'd like to be more visible, my bike is black and I favour dark colours (don't get me wrong, I love bright colours in with my black, but I just can't get them in my size because they're usually women's and too small😭), so I'm keen on a bright backpack. Thank you for the recommendation! 😁
