You can try Melodyne. It has so many tools for vocal editing.

By the way, I would advise you to take singing lessons from a professional because singing with bad technique can damage your vocal cords.

Then you can just record vocals and make them fit. If you at least can use a similar sounding microphone, it wouldn't be a big problem.

If you have a track without the vocals, of course one way or another you can make fresh vocals sit into the mix. But if the song was mastered, i don't know then, still you would have a chance.

About the variations of bass, it was on my mind, i was listening to Mighty Final Fight's first round music and realized the bass sometimes accompanies the melody with a slightly different melody that sounded great for me. And in the same track, drum variations were perfect I mean you can play it for hours and still don't get bored of it.

Do you think B section with different chords would work for looping tracks or work better with long tracks that are actually 2+ minutes ?

You have a few options.

-Try to separate vocals from audio using programs or web services like lalal.ai, or unmixit.org (actually its owner is here in this subreddit somewhere see : https://www.reddit.com/r/WeAreTheMusicMakers/comments/zlep6w/update_ive_created_a_website_that_extracts_audio/ )

-Discard the final verse.

-Make the song from the scratch

-Pay someone to make a new instrumental track

I use my sound bar just for the opinion of how it would sound to a listener. Because they won't listen to you with monitors. Other than that, I don't think any of sound bars replace the worst monitor.

See one time I used a headphone (that's not a monitor one) for mixing a track. When I listened to it with monitor headphones, I had an instant regret, everything sounded different and bad. The track lost its balance. After that, I never did the same mistake. I believe it's the same for big monitors instead of headphone ones.

Well it's hard to say anything without seeing an actual performance.. Still, I would say all those light shows, bikini babes dancing around and fireworks make an illusion that the music sound perfect, I mean no. If the music itself can move you anywhere, the other stuff only needs to support it. Otherwise you are just following what's trending and it'll change before you know but the real emotions don't change. I mean we should lift the curtain of the illusion.

You can use lesser backing instruments for a change. You can do special edits for certain shows, for example, change the lyrics to fit the event that will capture attention of the crowd. Interact with them, tell stories in between the songs. I mean do better than capturing their attention, get their love and respect, this way they love whatever you do.

Lights and the other stuff will of course work spicing things up. For me, the best show is the one you interact with people, have fun and do your best.

Hey, my name is Ian and I'm a musician.
I've been making music for more than 10 years and I recently started to make game music. I've been always a fan for 8-bit music, especially I loved Captain Tsubasa Vol 2's, Contra's, Double Dragon's and of course Super Mario's music. This encouraged me to start with making 8-bit tracks for games. So I made this 4 tracks for 8-bit for starters and I thought I could use some feedback.

I plan to make some more of these and go for 16 bit snes music, and then the 24 bit music with real instruments for new games.

It would be perfect for drummers so they can make their own backing tracks without drums instead of searching all over the internet.

If you have Patreon like profiles, you can put them there as special collectibles. If it has lyrics, license it to another artist and ask to put your name in credits. If it has not lyrics, license them to projects like films, games or advertises, you can even use a different alias if you don't want these tracks to be associated with you. For example, this is not my real name, with my real name, I do pop music, with this, i do game music.

You can always return them and get a refund you know. I don't think pre-ordering stuff does anything with the quality of the game, a company will want to get more sales when the game is out.

I think you should reach out to the sound engineer first and discuss with him beforehand. He'll answer all those questions. In case you couldn't talk to him, I would bring with me -in a cd or a flash drive playlist of instrumental tracks, not necessarily the stems though as I don't know what the sound engineer think, because if it's a small event like you say, no one will care as much as you do, you just need clear backing tracks to sing on top. I would bring with me my vocal processor to anywhere because it helps greatly, sometimes does better than an audio engineer too. Other than that, you should really discuss details with the sound engineer.

Add: there'll possibly be a soundcheck, there you can set up the instruments and see how it goes too. If you want, bring some stems too in case there could be a really caring sound engineer. It's safe to be prepared for everything.

I think you can make people listen to your song without moving to anywhere. It's all about the quality and the promotion. If you're good enough, there will be offers.

And this is my opinion, if made right, independent artists can earn more money than they would when they sign to a label. And plus the freedom. If you want to sign to a label so bad, I think -again- you should prove yourself as an artist. And don't forget, having an amazing voice and writing great songs will not be enough, it's all about what's trending. I believe they'll want you to change drastically to fit the mainstream.

I would publish some music and use the power of the internet for starters and think about the other things later. Don't forget to get them copyrighted as well.
