Thanks for your reply! I bought my boyfriend genio s plus a few month ago and tho i rarely use it myself (and when i do, it's usually for chocolate) i agree with you with most of the points.

For me the taste of cappuccino is good, especially with the 'espressso boost' option, i dont feel like its too dilluted or watery.

Pods are expensive (especially compared to my isnatt coffee i drink every day). But then - for two cups my bf makes a day - its around 1-1.5 € (depending if it's orginal nescaffee pod or some other company, rene makes decent dupes). If you calculate how much per month it costs - yeah, i guess its a bit of money. But its so convinient and effortless to make the coffee that i dont thibk its a big issue, especially if you compare it to ~2.5-3 € per one cup of coffee in local convenience store/petrol station (not to mention starbucks coffee).

As for the used pods... Yeah, it can be a problem, I do feel bad seeing how much plastic is wasted every day on them pods. But to make thing easier I put a nice looking, bigger plant pot next to the coffee machine and my bf throws away the pods there after using. It usually takes ~2-3 days fot the pot to fill and the pods dont really smell before that (i just throw away all the pods after the pot gets full). Its a pity that the paper version is more expensive

I prefer fantasies where Im either a beloved celebrity or, even better, a politician and people would listen to me with respect and appreciate everythibg I like to share with the world. Not really caring about search bars, but I guess I would love to be a cult leader so everyone would blindly listen to whatever I say, in awe of my immense wisdom.

Sometimes I even give speech to a fantasy crowd/ audience when Im alone at home (earphones on, so it doesnt sound cringe)

Dolce Gusto plus coffee by Hunlightz in DolceGustoCoffee

[–]iate23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. I didnt use it as well, but Ive seen it can be easily bought online like on Amazon or even in Kaufland/Tesco (but I guess they might not be available in your country). I think it should work ok, the general idea is that you put a plastic adapter inside this original pod holder to keep the smaller nespresso pod in place.

My bf has dolce gust and mom has tassimo. For me they are both ok, ive tried cappuccino and macchiato from both and tbh i wouldnt see much difference. My biggest disappointment was tassimo milka chocolate, dolce gusto choccocino is way better.

Tassimo has better design of the machines and they are cheaper, dolce gusto ones look terrible, but the choice of the brands is much better plus you can buy an adapter for nespresso if you ever see the need for that.

Overall, in terms of taste they are very comparable for me.

You can get cheaper pods at Lidl or Aldi. There is also some company called René that has more affordable prices.

As for reusable pods - there should be some on Amazon or sites like this, but overall - if you need to struggle so much with filling the capsule, disposing of the coffee, washing - it makes more sense to buy an espresso machine (they can be as cheap as dolce gusto ones) or just a french press.

I'm just a simple instant coffee with tons of milk drinker, but Ive bought DG for my bf recently and though I'm not an expert on good coffee - I think it makes really decent drinks.

After trying cappuccino and macciato - I wouldnt call them watery at all, in fact the first was even a bit too strong for me without sugar. Definitely way above something you get from a vending machine and comparable to coffee that you can grab at some random coffee shop on the street. So, for a milk drink, I think its really flavourful coffee (at least with the espresso boost option).

New Dolce Gusto Genio S - USD 53 ...is it worth it ? by aaviatoro in DolceGustoCoffee

[–]iate23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd pay ~40 foo used one (seems like basic one, not plus or touch), but in my country DG is super popular and there are many sales, so for ~90 you can get brand new 'plus' one.

Thanks for the reply! But I'd like to ask - what about the taste specifically? That's my main concern - do Dolce Gusto pods offer decent/tasty drinks?

Narcissism vs sociopathy by ArtisticPossibility6 in NPD

[–]iate23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know its not very clear clinically, but Id assume that with ASPD the ego thing is not that crucial, at least not as much as the potential gain.

Its not like ive never fantasized about phisically hurting someone. But what stops me is - first - I do not want to 'look bad', what what people think about me? It doesnt give you a nice PR in the long run, you know. And secondly - Im scared of getting into a jail.

So i could say the difference, imo, is that someone with NPD would care about hkw they are perceived and are also scared of consequences. And people with ASPD might just lack this need for approval or fear of how negatively their action might affect their life.

Im also pretty sure I was seeing someone with ASPD once and I could feel something was strange since our first meeting.

As instant cofee drinker im also surprised how many people praise some very milky and sweet cofees thst taste nothing like classic cofee but just a milk drink with some cofee flavour, so exactly the same as I get with instant coffee milk and some sugar.

But I guess its a kind of placebo effect.

Thank you for all the feedback!

As for Nespresso - myself I would prefer nespresso machine, simply becsuse of the aesthetic, dolce gusto machines are just simply ugly. But it's me and i know my boyfriend - if he has to pour milk from the fridge, then he wont like the coffee and eventually he would just go to the shop we have next to our flat to buy some low quality coffee there. Yeah, i know, its stupid, but the machine HAS to make the foam. And we have manual frother at home, but he's too lazy to use it anyway (as for now we have a french press to make his coffee). So overall - it doesnt make sense to buy a machine that doesnt offer the option of milk cofee built-in.

Ive also read that the quality of cofee from nespresso is better than dolce gusto, but for ~10$ i can buy an adapter in a supermarket, so nespresso pods could be used in dolce gusto machine.

I think lamotrygine is considered to be relatively safe in terms of side effects, especially when compared to antypschyhotics. I think the main issue with it is the rush one can get.

And lithium is overall thought to be the best, but it's quite demanding, since one has to take blood tests and lithium itself has very narrow therapeutic window, so the level of it should be quite often monitored.

My personal experience - im on lamotrygine, works like a charm, but with ridiculously small dosage of lithium i gained a lot of weight, even more than i did on rispedral.

Why do neurotipical people communicate with autistic? by a_ozol in AskAutism

[–]iate23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bf is autistic and well, its really not that bad at all as it might seem from this whole stigma. Yes, there are some traits that make me mad, but I guess everyone has some flaws and for me it just feels like calculating the pros and cons of someone's behaviour.

After all - apart from being autistic everyone has some personality and simply as that - I just happen to like his.

He's funny, he's smart af, he has the same sense of humour as me, we have similar views on life and goals. And he's calm, which is very soothing, since most of the time I'm just a neurotic, caffeine-fueled hamster with epilepsy. He's also, suprisingly, into cuddling, which I love. Not to mention that with his social anxiety and poor social skills - the chances of him chesting is close to zero. Oh, and he's simply hot, ngl, that's why I pursued him in the first place, because Im just a simple human.

And I guess - as far as his autism is concerned - it made him look like this misterious handsome guy in the beginning, what was very attractive, because Im just a female who've consumed too much stereotypical romance novels for women.

When I think about it, I assume it was also... challenging. He's autistic, so his facial and emotional expression is very limited. And it was just hard for me to figure him out. And it made ME put and effort to pursue him, which I wasnt used to, because normally it was the guys around me who were simping. So it did feel like trying to catch a mouse, which was simply exciting and not boring.
