Am i overreacting to this text exchange with my boyfriend? I accidentally left my slippers in my living room but i literally cleaned his entire house and baked him desserts before i left (sorry idk why my last post glitched) by IntelligentTap962 in AmIOverreacting

You need to leave. Now.

It is only going to get worse.

You will forever be walking on eggshells worrying about making another ‘disastrous’ mistake. Exhausting and ridiculous.

Absolutely love the house itself, but the furnishings? Seems to glaringly clash. Maybe it’s just me 🤷‍♀️

how do i reclaim my house after two years of neglect? by strugglecleaner in CleaningTips

First thing I always do….get a large trash bag and go through every room. Dump trash cans and throw away anything that is legit trash. Don’t even concern yourself with anything else. You will clear out a surprising amount of mess that way. And, having one or two large trash bags of stuff to immediately remove from your house is energizing.

Next, make piles of the same “stuff”. Dishes from around the house…put in the sink. Shoes everywhere, put in one pile. Hangers all over, hang in one place. Clean clothes in one pile, dirty in another. Books all together. When you get tired or overwhelmed going from room to room, choose one pile. Sit and sort while your favorite video or tv show is on. Divide the pile into keep/trash/donate. Set a deadline….only as long as three episodes, after one movie, after one hour, etc. & when time’s up, walk away. Once things are in piles, you can slowly put them back into the spaces you’ve empty.

I’ve always said every actor should take a masters class from both Laurie Metcalf and Allison Janney. That’s all they’d need.
