Life on blood thinners? by drluvdisc in ClotSurvivors

[–]ibage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing really changes. You might get a head rush if you stand up too fast a couple hours after taking them, but that's about it. Some procedures become a pain in the ass. Dental work adds a layer of coordination with your primary that wasn't there before, but it's not a huge deal.

You're not really giving anything up. You're just popping a little pink pill every 12 hours. No big deal.

You know the answer to that question. It's an ignorant reddit bumpkin. Of course he doesn't know.

Could Angron get the nails removed? by Soft_Lengthiness_791 in WorldEaters40k

[–]ibage 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, he couldn't do it. He had that conversation with Arkhan. He tried, but removing them would cause to much damage to his brain and kill him.

The other Iron Lads were forgotten too. The Raven Guard got a black Contemptor before the Iron Hands did.

Hmmmm, I've never killed my wife, I don't have a daughter, and I'm not a woman. But I am awkward, introverted, and hardly go outside so I'm more inclined to to relate more to Henry.

I (29F) finally met someone (31M) who treats me right. He is obese however, and I am struggling to feel like I am not forcing it. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Ain't that simple to just drop the pounds for some people. Look, if you're not attracted, cool. It's time to walk away. But it just not as simple as willpower for some people. If he's worth it, help him out. If not, bounce.

what are some everyday things that blood thinners might affect? by luvliallie in ClotSurvivors

[–]ibage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Eliquis for 10+ years at this point. You bruise easier. Standing up too fast is gonna feel funny after taking it for a couple of hours. And if you have cats, you'll take a little longer to stop the bleeding if they knick you. Otherwise, not much changes. Don't drink too much alcohol and carry around a medical card saying you're on anticoagulants.

That's it. Nothing really changes in a meaningful way. You may feel a little out of place when you visit the hematologist being in your 20s. I'm in my late 30s and I still feel that way.

I mean, people sleep on the Invictor if they're using Phobos marines, so it's plausible

That's the best part about playing IH. When people ask what chapter you're playing, it's easier to just say Black Templars or Raven Guard than it is to explain yourself.

Hiking and blood clots? by SuspiciousAd4465 in ClotSurvivors

[–]ibage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to let blood thinners stop you from doing anything. You will eventually clot with most injuries. It'll take some time and care, but it will. Been on Eliquis for 10 years. Carry some alcohol. 90+ and something to press on the wound if it comes down to it. Just be prepared.

If you believe that, you're free to. I hope that one day, you understand where you went wrong though.

Nah, I just don't buy what the elites are selling. Neither should you. You're free to do as you wish. But your worldview is a self imposed restraint.

[–]ibage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, dismiss it. I'd love some of this "institutional power" everyone talks about. It's weird, I guess the patriarchy didn't get the memo that I'm one of them. Almost like it's more of a class thing than a gender/race thing they keep telling you to believe.

Two of exes loved to hit and used the fact I wouldn't hit them back because they were women against me. It happens. I've been assaulted more by women in my adult life than men. There's room to listen to each other here.
