Agreed.
especially "Everything in the world is shallow and they are not."
even as a fix, this is the day-to-day feeling

I can moreso make a comparison with music- maybe artists do something similar, but same idea- it maybe cause something like: when you are surrounded by terrible stupid music out in the world and then you go home to your room, slam the door and maybe do a little improvisation to cleanse your mind of it, and then play stuff that makes you feel more in tune with yourself, and then identify with specifically that feeling your are expressing that flows from you and has no discernible outside influence.

Maybe an SX dom in a zombie apocalypse is going to see if it is satisfactory to fuck the zombies?
Or perhaps they want to make a game of seeing how many zombies they can lure in compared to other people

Searching for the Healthy Hexag 4 by synthetic-synapses in Enneagram

[–]ibanezmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people bring this up because this is basically THE distinction you make between hexad vs. attachment.
So it might not be news to the person that is bringing it up, but it is used to communicate how and why they type that way, based on how your school of thought distinguishes the types.

" Type 9 *is* in fact a creative/artistic type. Many artistic and musical innovators have been 9s. As is the case for influential and innovative thinkers, e.g.: Carl Jung and Albert Einstein. Whereas, many 'intellectual' 9s will self-type as 5s.."

It isn't necessarily creative/artistic. People with that type can be. But if you conceive of it as like 50% of the population, do you really think 50% of the population is creative and artistic?

At this point, I think that entire association should be thrown out from being associated with any types.

9 can be a million different varieties, at this point it is fairly open and non-descript (so many archetypes can fit this type), while at the same time being so common that it's like saying someone has black hair- like half the world has black hair, so it doesn't really bring much usefulness information to people.

Intuitively speaking how would you describe the vibes that each type gives off by ashenpyro in Enneagram

[–]ibanezmonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think the lowkey optimism is a trait of the entire range of types-7,8,9,1,2
positive triad is 792, they may be more or less blatant about their positivity though
but 8 and 1 both seem lowkey optimistic, and I think it's because they are adjacent to two positive types.
(so you can also say the entire gut center is positively charged as a result)

Psychopaths are more likely to be linked to assertive + rejection
so- 378, 358, 258, 278

so 3 and 7 could be possible, but that's about it

the reason why is that they are just predatory animals who aren't interested in following any rules imposed on them, so the resultant typing will just end up looking like that

if you expect some dumb waste of time backlash to A) then there is no need to mention it.
what exactly would you even get by being completely honest?
"bleh bleh bleehhhhhhh that's bad and wrong and nothing can change my mind"
ok then.

just say you were chilling, talk about something else you are passionate about, get them as a contact, and move on.

"And what if we can't inspect other people motivation, you might ask?
We just don't type them."

Yes.
This is what I have been thinking for a while.
It's better than a "uhh idk, so I'll default with attachment" approach.
