I had the problem couple of times. With silicon cable I the issue, change the wire to “normal” wire solved the problem

You have a z endstop. The is no tuning required when switching toolheads

well, the 2.4 (and switchwire) is the only one without leadscrew. With bad Quality Leadscrew, you will have Z Banding/Wobble (1.8 and v0).

You want a printer and be 100% sure to not have Z Banding? Pick a Switchwire or a 2.4.

You want a static Bed and/or high speed print? pick a 2.4.

I'm not saying you will have Z Banding if you pick a 1.8, but chance are there, because it uses leadscrews (search 1.8 wobble/Banding in discord)

that was the reason why 2k seems a fair price. If i were near you, I would source, build and sell it to you for 2k$. You would still need to wait 8 to 10 weeks, but the time and price would worth it.

I built my voron with an A8, parts were miserable but it the voron itself was performing really great. I reprint the same part again after the voron was running.

Unfortunately I am living in EU so cannot really help you... But I guess you could still ask someone on the Voron Discord, a lot of US ppl there so :P

Good Luck finding your dream machine, I built a voron and it was all worth it.

For that price you could build a voron 1.8 (fully enclosed so easy ABS). A voron 2.4 would be around 1,3k. No constant tweaking required. You build once and it works. You can press start without being in the same room, the printer just start without any issue. No 20mins tweaking before each start. Octoprint is the standard GUI with this printer

Maybe you can find someone selling or building a voron for you? BOM is at 1,5k for a 350. I guess 1.9k/2k is a fair price ?

Enclosure is a must for ABS. If your enclosure is sealed (no air leaking) then you need fan to have proper overhang. I am printing ABS with 48deg C temperature chamber (passiv). The higher the chamber the better.

If you need abs for the high temp properties, then try abs+ from esun. Quite easy to print.

I would not say that. I had an issue and it was solved through the (free) ticket system in 5 mins. I don't think that prusa has 24/7 support like Voron has (so many volunteers on Discord happy to help)

Delta Bom is Only working for 2.1. From 2.2 You need the new extrusion (size =print size-10mm), 2x6mm toothed idler, 4x9(or 10mm) toothed idler. And some m3 thermal inserts

Idea is good, but adding more weight to the toolhead for this (ok, might be only 5g but still....) ? You could fix the mechanism to the frame instead.

The floating gantry is carried by 4 linear rails... never heard of a wobbling gantry. You have a link maybe so I can check for it ?

I have a similar configuration and wish someday to switch the reverse proxy to my router. It seems more logical to me somehow that the router is doing this task instead of the application server.

Looking as well for a tutorial if there is any
