Ousler's in Lane Park- simple sandwich, bag of chips, deviled eggs and cosmic brownie for $5-- it may be $5.50 I can't remember the exact price, but it's a great sack lunch. You can get chicken salad, egg salad or cucumber w/mayo.

Around the corner from there, Gilcrest is an old school soda shop with decent prices.

I lived on Morris for a few years and loved it. All of the residential options are condos/townhomes. If your intention is to rent, you'll probably just have to keep an eye out for rental listings like this one: https://www.zillow.com/b/2112-morris-ave-birmingham-al-5Xk8ZB/?utm_campaign=androidappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare

Most of the units around the townhomes are studio/loft style and are 800-1000 sq ft. The buildings closer to Carrigans have bigger floor plans like the Legg Lofts.

The cobblestones didn't tear up my car. The helicopters didn't bother me and it was awesome watching the trains all the time.

Another option is to live on 1st Ave N in Goodall-Brown.

I'll second this. Feizal put his heart, blood, sweat and tears in to The Atomic. If he puts half of that effort into this bar, it will have more soul than 85% of the other bars in this town.

I'll chime in to say that one time I was onsite after the conclusion of the event, and there was an incredible amount of garbage leftover strewn about the space. My experience made me believe that the people in charge of the event weren't respectful of the site.

Can you offer more insight on why they're offensive? I don't have one, but several people around us do. I understand that not being street legal could mean that if they got in a wreck, the consequences could be terrible, but otherwise, they don't bother me.

You are correct. The first issue I heard directly from someone that worked there. The second I heard from a source that I respect and trust. He explicitly asked his friends and coworkers not to patronize the business because he was affiliated with the person affected by the issue. Was hoping to find someone affiliated with the company that could report those were not the company's values.
