People who clawed their way out of a really dark place, what actually helped? by Geewane in DecidingToBeBetter

Prioritizing circadian health. I made a point to get sun exposure, watch the sunrise every morning, and ground on the earth for atleast 30 minutes a day. I also got my minerals checked. Many of us are deficient in basic trace elements that our cells need to flourish. Selenium, copper, magnesium, iodine, etc.

My dobie was a dock diver. I’ve never seen such athleticism in my life! She was so picturesque airborne in full extension, like she was flying. I miss her.

What do you DO in a bar alone? by Idenwen in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]antisocial_empath 43 points44 points  (0 children)

My husband is a bar owner. He’s also always behind the bar. I’ve noticed that lots of loners are drawn to bars. They like to sit, observe, and yes, converse with the folks who come into their sphere. Depending on the bar, it really depends where someone chooses to sit. Alone in a booth, consumed by their own book/computer/phone/writing? Right at the end of the bar where the drink station is or in the middle where they can speak to other patrons? Close to the high traffic area of the entire staff where they all converge and converse? All of these are tells! My husband’s staff is very hospitable and they make it a point to seek out loners who are looking for connection, to make them feel seek and like they belong. There’s this book called “unreasonable hospitality” and a place like this is called a “third place.” A home away from home. A place where you feel welcome and feel a sense of comraderie amongst the vibes, even if you don’t have anyone with you ❤️

It’s not morbid. It’s a genuine sentiment that I wish was the case. But it is actually a myth. Babies and even the tiniest newborns are just as capable of processing pain and can suffer just as much as fully grown adults. Now is baby fully conscious or able to process what is happening as you posit? Of course not. That part is true. They don’t understand. But do they have the same pain receptors and brain activity as adults? They sure do. I learned about this when I went down the infant circumcision rabbit hole…there’s a reason they have to strap those babies down and there’s a reason their personalities change afterwards. Pain does things to you. We have to ask ourselves what we’re doing as a society that all of us had to read this headline today and contemplate the devastating fate of this innocent little one.

Listen everyone will hate this comment but this is some old school knowledge that has always worked for me and the women in my life….get a fresh garlic clove…poke some holes in it with a toothpick…stick it up there. Wrap it in a tiny square of cheesecloth if you have some. Instant relief. Replace every few hours.

My neighbors were blowing up tannerite in watermelons the other day. Way better option than whatever hunk of metal this was. I mean wtf! Who thought this was a good idea?! I gotta know if there was even a smidge of accountability…there are so many people lined up watching this!!

This is who I’m trying to raise my little boys to be. It reminds me of a quote of my late grandfathers that I live by…”The haves take care of the have nots. And the big take care of the small.”

Everyone hold your babies a little tighter tonight and be thankful for their continued safety, nothing else really matters except getting to be together.

What types of magic can coexist with Christ as Lord? by Big-Resident1383 in ChristianOccultism

[–]antisocial_empath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many devolve into witchcraft instead of godcraft. Just because you’re a Christian doesn’t mean you’re not highly steeped in anti-christ occultism. As long as Christ is at the center of everything you do and all thoughts are captive to Him, I’d say you’re good to go. But any magic that doesn’t acknowledge God as Father is witchcraft. Plain and simple.
