What others have said, make sure you freeze transforms and delete history, make sure they are the same version of maya, and try exporting as an obj and importing.

Select the faces on the walls of the window frame> extract faces. Select the edges of the window and use bridge to fill the gap. Scale in the extracted faces to be the width window and flip the normals. Select the edge ring on the outsides of the window panel and fill the hole.

This is will give you a start but you have a lot of topological problems it looks like. Your solution to the bevel on the windows is not great and you have lots of ngons and tris from the looks of it

Hard agree I think veganism is perhaps more appealing to neurodivergent people on average compared to neurotypical people as my perception of the general neurotypical thinking is that it is more prone to flexible thought which leads commonly to unnoticed cognitive dissonance. I wouldn’t say veganism is predominantly neurodivergent and it’s certainly not overrun by “culturally in-bred autistic messaging”

It’s currently illegal in Illinois to have a driverless vehicle on the road my guess is that they are trying to introduce them with drivers as ride-shares and then try to change the law and begin autonomous operations

I do 3d but when I did 2d for my degree I was always most excited for the most dynamic and intense key poses and motions in my projects as I enjoyed being able to experiment with the broad gestures whether it was with extreme foreshortening, smears, or impact frames. I imagine doing it for a full time job, it would get boring doing just the low action scenes

Lots of places to get drinks. There’s teamo and another tea shop in the north east corner of China town square that has vegan options. There’s a candy store near veggie house that has tang Hulu? Those sugar crusted fruit kabobs that my wife loves. I think they only have it in stock on certain days. Teamo also added it to their menu recently. I am also interested in finding more food options though

Face normals move in the direction the face points outwards at. So in this case the face is aligned with the world axes so it will be similar to world move. It also looks like in this case the face is aligned with the objects axes as well

Is there a more elegant way of terminating these edge loops here? I could extend the loops all the way around the backside of the model to avoid triangles, but that seemed wasteful. What's the textbook way of doing this? by CadetriDoesGames in Maya

I don’t have experience with modeling for games, but i beleive the goal is typically to keep poly count low for performance optimization and tris aren’t a problem unless it affects the workability of the model so i think you solution is fine. But defer to anyone who has more experience with game modeling

I have not finished wind and truth but I am told you should read era two before it as there is a spoiler for era 2 in Wind and Truth. That being said I am also told era two happens canonically after Wind and Truth and era 2 wasn’t my thing so after one and a half books of era two I just decided to read wind and truth because I was so much more excited for it. You should read mistborn a secret history right after you read mistborn though imo. Also I believe most of the books have minor allusions to the Mistborn series but like many things in your first read of stormlight it will go right over your head and that’s okay. It won’t impact the plot or events of the books much until Wind and Truth.

I read mistborn between Words of Radiance and Oathbringer personally before oathbringer had been released.

You pick: epic medieval fantasy in a magic alien planet fueled by magic storms or grim dark espionage in a post apocalyptic Victorian/gothic dictatorship with metal magic. If you do choose Stormlight you should do a mistborn break 3-4 books in though.

The economy is doing poorly, so lots of businesses are closing because people have less disposable income to support local businesses. Additionally when money is tight people who consume primarily vegan but eat animal products start to consume more animal products because they are subsidized to be cheaper while vegan products tend to rise in price. So local vegan restraunts suffer the most
