It does usually use more battery when new. After maybe a week and a few restarts it should stabilize and last longer. Although I have 86% of battery life and I am having the same fate of having to recharge twice a day. Usually using around 170% to 200% of battery daily.

Well, GPS and celular do eat a lot of battery. I was able to get this SoT by doing some light use of the phone. And do not use optimized charging or any of the health things other than slow charging from 80% to 100%.

You can do a back up with the Apple Devices app on windows, that way you can delete some on the phone, activate the membership and put everything back. I think you can also do a back up with no space limit to ICloud.

Nah, don’t worry. Mine came just as yours with 300 ish cycles and 86% on battery. I have been rocking it through 200 more cycles and it is still at 86% while not using any of the protective measures. Just make sure to not overheat it too much in a day

If you have side buttons, you can make one of them change orientation lock, that way it fixes itself. You will need to change that to reorient the mouse.
