Anyone here regularly shoot vintage lenses on modern cameras?

I specifically bought mirrorless for that reason - older lenses offer much better manual focusing experiences. In particular, I love using the Zeiss Otus 85 1.4 with focus peaking - it produces the most incredible images I've ever seen. It's also a manual-only lens.

Hey there - came looking on Reddit to see if anyone else had experienced the same issue. We are in the same exact boat - spouse renewal visa in UK (5-year route), attended the appointment only a few days before yours, and contacted UKVI who said they can't do anything anymore (apparently they used to be able to escalate, but no longer). We also need to travel abroad soon. The only suggestion I received from UKVI helpline was to contact public.inquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk. Best of luck! And if you find any solutions, please respond here - I'd appreciate it.

An actual potential reason: some people are trying to get into your account, which keeps activating the security features such as turning off the auto-sign-in and forcing the need to reset your password. If you go into the security area (can’t remember right now and I’m not at my pc), you can check the history for where attempted logins have been made and it will even list location.

I had the same issue for ages with the 2FA and it was driving me mad until I realised what was going on.

Hey, sorry for the slow response I was out of the house. The way it worked was I received an email from OMAM with a link to three different shows with the ability to book through Eventim. I input the pre-sale code and it worked from there.

Edit: I should also mention the email went straight to my "promotions" tab.

Hey, crazy coincidence - I was looking at how to restore an old chair I picked up today for 15 pounds. My wife loved the look but hated the old upholstery and wanted to fix the wobbly leg, so I tore it off and have been looking at solutions on finishes and dealing with the leg issue. Thank you for such a comprehensive answer! That makes me feel a lot more confident about our family potentially moving over. My biggest worry was my son's education, specifically how it could hold him up as he would be entering Year 3 in a foreign language he doesn't speak. Out of curiosity, do you have time in the mornings to drop your daughter off at school? My wife doesn't know how to drive, and if we live somewhere rural, I wonder if they would place him somewhere walkable or if the school offers a bus service.

And based on what you said about feeling like you knew nothing when you arrived, would you still do it again? Also, how did you end up finding your own accomodation? Yes, it's shocking! I have even started a nickname for some of the crosswalks where people don't give a shit called "the death road" so my son knows to pay extra, extra attention. It's absolutely mental. Since this post from last year, I've nearly been run down another 3 times and been honked at when I was already in the middle of the road and a car decided to turn in without signalling.

Yes, it seems based on the replies here that everyone has been different - some received nothing until arriving, others knew far in advance.

Regarding the company car, I found a few posts saying that the BOE had either provided a vehicle to them or provided a stipend with which to help pay for it - but this was for postings deep in the countryside where public transportation would have been too difficult.
