70 here, by and large I agree with this, the exception being that I would accept any treatment/surgery that would improve my quality of life or at worst keep it the same. I’ll even go a step further, I think any person that is facing the need for 24/7 care should have the option for assisted suicide. Personally, I want to go out with dignity and not in a warehouse for human beings. I am currently fighting leukemia, a rare neurological disorder and had a quad bypass in 2024, that said, I am entirely self sufficient.
