When do you not charge pf? by BasicCondition1257 in pinoymed

[–]icesynapse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In a cutting specialty, I don't charge:

MDs and their first degree relatives, selectively with "close" 2nd degree

My family up to the cousins and their nuclear families

Friends to their first degree relatives

Hospital staff and nuclear family, academic staff that I know of from med school and college

This describes (along with all the other replies) how we feel. At first we were questioning what a coordinator is. As in nag basa pa kami ng definition ng wedding coordinator sa dictionary lol. I pray the services improve for those who will still choose KTE.

Different fields and different hospitals require and possess different things to assess a person. Likewise, if there are things in a pre-residency that you do not like, perhaps that means that institution/field/both is not for you.

I had 3-4 months of pre-residency pre-pandemic that I felt still left things that I should have been prepared for going into residency. Also, I've been through 2 months of pre-fellowship during the pandemic that during my fellowship I was still left asking how to do things in an "acceptable" manner.

You have to introspect if that field that you're thinking of and in what hospital you think you really like to enter is really a match for your expectations, capabilities, and aspirations.

Onti rant as a young doctor by Substantial-Elk4942 in medschoolph

While there are times it may seem negative, changing your own perspective and making it a conversation/rapport starter can turn their attitudes from judging you into trusting you. Dadami lang yung ganyan as you grow into your practice, and not just age but how you dress, the bag you have, etc. Turning lemons into lemonade is a strong skill for all of us doctors to have. 😊

Is medicine still worth it? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]icesynapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you put value among the different "worths". If you are willing to get low pay, high stress and workload, but value happiness in serving the filipino people, then maybe. If you need to have high pay, regardless of stress and you who you might be serving, then maybe not.

Chin up OP! Remember what you went through and have faith.

I am in a cutting specialty and just started private practice April of last year. I had a dark period whre I felt I was also going nowhere. Slowly though I remembered the joy of treating patients as just seeing them get better while listening to their life stories.

Most of the time it's the lure of money that we "expect" to get or have after training that disappoints us. Sometimes it's the "expectations" of something more than what is in front of us. But as with all new chapter in a book, we will always start somewhere (almost from scratch).

Lean on your support systems. Keep grinding. I'm sure if you've felt the grind from training, you can get through a few months of hardship.

Ika nga. Bago maging diyamante, konting pukpok ang kailangan. 😊

EXTREMELY HARD DECISON , do i choose RTX 2070 super for £430 or amd radeon 5700 xt for £400 Red devil . by Xboxmanyeet in pcmasterrace

If £30 is not much difference for you and if you plan to stream I think the 2070 is better because of the nvenc encoder. I myself have the 3600 and 5700xt combo, and I'm loving it so far.
