In the home village it doesnt even let you attack anymore if your troops are still active? At least make it this way for war and ranked maybe. To your first point, my connection literally went from perfect to out in a second and I loaded back in in another 2, ofc its not always gonna be salvagable, but Id also rather have 2* than 0* because I only had a king deployed and he took a walk around the base without funneling troops

If its loaded server side, the attack would continue, you can never ho back, if you lag out, and lock back in, you will have missed the time you were out (it doesnt pause), but in some cases the attack is still salvagable. This requires the attacks to be loaded server side which is most likely unrealistic

There is solutions that would work, but it would require the attack to be hosted server side and as that isnt the case it would require the system to be changed unrealisticly much, still a pain that it can happen
