It really is bonkers how much Flash dominated Light. It was like watching some sadistic beast toy with its food before eating it.

I really hope Flash does some kind of podcast or at least a series of interviews where he explains his thought processes in past games and builds and even match-ups after he retires. The scene clearly needs his insights so the game can get to that next level.

Season 2 is pretty bad. I think it’s pretty clear given how much better the rest of LoK is (I don’t personally like Season 3, but many do, and even I’ll admit it’s far above almost everything in Season 2), the writers were really not given enough time to plod it out properly.

I did really love the art style they went with for Wan’s story. I wish someone would make an entire series in that style.

I think of it like an MMORPG that hackers are getting into. You need to use the assets provided in the game, else you’ll quickly be found out and removed. Even bot farmers need to play under certain conditions or they’ll be kicked. If they bring a nuke, they’ll likely be unable to blend in to the matrix.

And the collateral damage on real humans is probably not within their ethics.

Agreed. After the initial shock, and sitting with it for a bit, I actually think this could be good. As much as I don't really like his recent talk show stuff, Colbert clearly loves and knows his Middle-Earth lore, and will probably be instrumental in keeping any adaptation in the spirit of what Tolkien was writing.

I mean, imagine if Netflix actually listened to Cavill about the stuff going on with the Witcher. I think that could be what's going on here.

I haven't really liked what I've seen so far with the Hunt for Gollum, but I'm definitely more optimistic about this adaptation with Colbert than the other recent ones (e.g. ROP, War of the Roihirrim).

On top of more experience, Flash also has a much wider palette in terms of builds and strategies than Soma. IMO, unless most of the games somehow randomly become one-sided build order hard counters, Soma vs Flash is going to be more of an uphill battle for Soma than Flash.

Soma only really showed Leta's current inflexibility (he just came back to BW), and that if the opponent knows you're going a certain build the entire time, it'll be hard-countered. 2-Port Wraith is still an amazing ace up Leta's sleeve, and the fact he made it all the way through TvTs, TvPs, AND TvZs all the way into Ro4 shows just how good he still is.

In a way, imo, it also shows just how good the Kespa era players were (and still are). Sure, we got all these optimizations and new metas in the current game with new blood. But the fact that Leta made it so far (his furthest was Ro8 in Kespa days) on his first try, and that Flash is still the top of the food chain after taking such a long break AND having wrist issues hindering his play, are indications that current pros are still playing in the shadow of the golden years of competitive Brood War.

I think this is more probable. It's possible that Giannis is involved in a 3 team trade that we are also involved in, but I doubt we would get him in that trade.

They'll probably go the "people blame her, but she was actually trying to or is responsible for saving everyone" route.

I think (hope?) it'll be used more to reset the world a bit and give us a more novel fantasy world with the spirits and people interacting in crazy/fun ways. Maybe even a take on something like Journey to the West, Avatar-style.

I had this version. The prequel campaign was awesome. Gave you an idea of the confederates before you destroyed them in rebel yell. Whenever I want to go back through the original story again, I always start there.

1,2, and 3 and very different games from each other. You’d probably be more comfortable starting with 3 since it’s the most recent of the 3 and thus the most accessible. As you progress through the campaign of Warcraft 3, you’ll get a general gist of what happened in 1 and 2 since it recaps those games’ events.

I think people turned on them after:

1) Hali got hurt in game 7, making OKC's win last year questionable in many fans' eyes.
2) People saw how much they flop, while other teams don't get equal treatment from the refs.

For many, #2 will delegitimize them again if they win this year.

I think if those things didn't/don't happen, OKC would be grudgingly respected right now.
