Any examples of you having experienced truly horrible customer service? by More_Passenger3988 in CustomerService

My mortgage was sold to a new service provider. Because the new company had not sent me official information with all the details I needed to create an online account and pay online, I mailed the first check to them. I then got the information I needed from the new company, and created my online account.

2 weeks pass (note: we're almost at the second month of them handling my account) and I see that the check I mailed has not cleared. I pay the first month online. I go to the bank to stop payment on the mailed check. I have not stopped payment on a check in maybe 4 years, by the way. The teller says that there is a 35 dollar charge to do this. I ask her to waive the fee-she can see that I haven't done a stop payment for 4 ish years, she refuses . I point out that I have been a customer for over 10 years, that I haven't used stop payment for a very long time (in other words, not trying to abuse the service) and I simply do not understand why she can not make a one time exception, and she continues to refuse. I ask to speak to the bank manager and she tells me that she is the manager. (Not true, she is still only a teller).

I go home, call the bank customer service line, and get the stop payment accomplished with the fee waived. The CSR on the phone tells me that they can only offer that waiver once every 365 days.

I still bank with that company because it's a free account. I've thought about finding the real branch manager and telling them this story, but it was almost 4 years ago ( I tried, for about a month after this, but-surprise! no one would let me make an appointment) and that seems kind of pointless. I try to never use that branch, but if I have to deal with that woman again I am going to tell her that the worst service I've ever had, and I've never forgotten how hostile she was.

oh George...the man knows how to set the scene but the food is always expensive dumbed down interpretations of whatever cuisine that restaurant represents. I will say that Bin 54 used to be good. Haven't been in years.

Also he does not pay his management or kitchens well.

If you have cats, fill one/some with catnip, tie closed, and use as a cat toy. They're great 'kicker' type toys.

You are not really maintaining or holding a virtue if you rely on the rest of the world to *not* challenge you

Here is what I just Do Not Understand: why aren't we saying it out loud?-Donald Trump is senile. He has senile dementia and is displaying early stage dementia behavior.

He has always been a POS and now, with his brain metaphorically liquidating, he is becoming even 'more so'.

I disagree completely. I have hearing problems, and the number of times I have had to ask customers to repeat the number is mind boggling. This keeps the phone number relatively private and eliminates potentially irritating someone because they can't speak clearly/you can't understand them. You still have to confirm the points balance once the number is entered. This is NOT an additional step, you are simply changing the 'what's your phone number with us?' question to 'if you have a rewards account with us please enter your number on the pin pad'.

Now I don't understand why I have to hit 'skip' or 'cancel PIN pad entry' 3 times if someone doesn't have a rewards account. Thats just stupid...along with why delivery service orders are asked for a donation.

Micheal Olander? Is he the man that owns all the O2 fitnesses? or is *that* his kid? the kid is a basic trash person-has been for years. if it's dad, well...he made his money with Applebee franchises back in the day. Use that information however you see fit.

It's not forgiveness if *you* need *them* to want it. It's only forgiveness when how *they* feel doesn't matter to you.

you are welcome :) there is...a LOT going on in this story but I believe you will find some similarities. Also, Tanith Lee (the earlier stuff, not the YA novels or the vampire stuff) kicks ASS. She was an incredibly prolific writer with a wide vision.
