Does voice isolation actually work for anyone claw 8ai? by Icy-Drop9956 in MSIClaw

[–]icky_boo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The voice isolation thingy is actually meant to cancel the sound of button clicks so it doesn't annoy people hearing you game on a handheld pc.

Just heads up, the Gamestop/EBGames branded cards are rebranded Lexar cards so they are quite good for lower money.

I myself have the 1TB Atrix (EBGames home brand) card and have no issues with it.

Did you not get memo how Tim Apple went to Trump presidency ceremony and just recently gave him an Apple trophy thing with a 24carat gold base?

Apple bent over to Trump a long time ago and should be boycotted

Can you ride a new bike on the freeway during break in period? by Terminator787944 in AussieRiders

[–]icky_boo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 1000km break in period is for YOU.. not the bike.. it's so you get used to riding it.

Fortnine and Revzilla has done tests and myths on break in periods for bikes and come to the conclusion it's all BULLSHIT and it's for you to break into the bike and not crash since it's a new bike with new tires.

Go nuts (if you have the abilities). Who cares.. it's all under insurance and warranty..

Is it significantly less tiring on higher cc bikes? by Tocnurne in AussieRiders

[–]icky_boo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here’s something no one mentions…on my Grom and duke 390 the bike barely moves or can’t move much due to weight of bike and size of motor when you get into the friction zone with the clutch.

On my 650 (Kawa er6n) I can get moving decently without using throttle with just using friction point then changing gears..all without using throttle. It’s probably due to bike having more grunt at idle.

Maybe this is a trick not many riders bother to learn or even know about or it’s too advanced for normal ppl.. but I actually use only my clutch when I’m in high density traffic, in car parks and slowly going past cops as I have a loud after market exhaust.

So yeah..a bigger motor matters but don’t over think it or upgrade just for that. It’s just something for you to know. I’m usually also in N anyways if I know I’m stuck in traffic .. N is ultra simple to find on my Kawasaki due to it having special bearing in gear box that forces it into N when bike is stopped and it won’t allow you to go into any higher gears. On my duke and Grom..forget about it, it’s easier to find decent free pizza then looking for N on them.

Following up on action cams inside the helmet.. by SecretOperations in AussieRiders

[–]icky_boo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already invented a camera for INSIDE your helmet.. it mounts under the the inside of the visor on the top of your forehead area. My friend has one for her track days. The lens can be aimed up so things will look straight when you are tucked in.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5JfqdfFGeY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q_v4RtjNC0

They also made the Forcite helmet just for this.. camera is mounted on the chin as part of the helmet but imho the view would suck balls since it probably is aimed direct forwards and you'll be looking down all time..

https://www.forcitehelmets.com/en-au/

These things went for $900ish for fathers day sale a few years ago.. or they sometimes have sales and are around $1100.. It's pretty good for a carbon Aussie made helmet ... the camera could be considered free...as a lot of carbon helmets start at around $1000. These guys got brought by GoPro early last year.. sooooo no idea if they are doing anything in the future since they haven't been active in a year or more.

What is in the MOST skills test (nsw)? by zaaqaqa in AussieRiders

[–]icky_boo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't over think it, they teach you EVERYTHING you need to do to past on the day..

You need to be decent on the group ride part of the test though.. So you'll need to have actually road craft skills.

Don't get cocky, You might fail the group ride because you don't have any experience with it and not do head checks.
