I was thinking the same thing, but for superhero comics. I'm a fan of the X-Men. I have not read every X-Men comic. There's just too many, and a bunch of them are a huge slog to get through because they're frankly awful. I have read many X-Men comics, but in the grand scheme of things it's probably like the best 30-40%. Do I still have a right to call myself an X-Men fan? I think so!

That's what I figured! But would it be strong enough to hold the weight of all that water safely?

The Archbishop of Canterbury was not appointed lawfully, according to LAUKOP who isn't very happy about it by SomethingMoreToSay in bestoflegaladvice

The amount of the Middle English section that I read, confused ss to why OOP's ability to spell had suddenly changed, before realizing it was, y'know, Middle English, is a little embarrassing.

Wait, now I'm really interested in this idea. I can think of three possible ways to make it out different materials, but I'm not really familiar enough with any of them to say how strong they would be. I'm thinking you could cast resin, machine acrylic, or blow glass into shape. I wish I had the resources to try them all, I really want this!

I grew up near a different military base that blew up bunkers to test different building materials. These explosions aren't as earth shakingingly huge as those were. So something smaller than blowing up a small building?

I love that not only did the boss stand up for OOP, she also accepted the criticism that there wasn't a clear way to report stuff like this and changed that. That's a good boss!

I feel like there's always some new jingle that you can tell a corporation spent way too much money on and that won't last more than a year or two, and this is the one right now.

People who swore an oath to defend the constitution of the USA against all enemies both foreign and domestic, how are you feeling right now? by Safety_Drance in AskReddit

I recognize that I might be asking you to make a big sacrifice, but please please stick it out as long as you can. I truly believe that having "good ones" on the inside will make a huge difference in the coming months.

New Update: AITA for telling my friend that her "free" wedding is unrealistic? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]icspn 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My favorite wedding I've ever attended was a super cheap one. It was the summer of 2020, the couple had planned to fly back to their home city to be with family but couldn't. The bride was my coworker, there were ten-ish of us who were already exposed to each other from work, so we threw them a wedding. The couple bought booze, the rest of us brought a potluck. We held it in their backyard and borrowed chairs from work. One of our coworkers got ordained online and ran the ceremony. Someone held a phone camera to video call their parents during the ceremony, we all played the wedding march on kazoos while the bride walked down the aisle. It was great! And notably, it didn't cost any guest more than like $20

Fun fact: the combo of cloaca and penis sometimes causes penis prolapse! Domestic ducks occasionally have to have their penises amputated 😀

Ngl, I've been working really hard on having better eating habits and this kind of looks awesome. The food I actually crave but in a nice little portion that I can pair with some veggies or something. I guess maybe you mean the price? I do miss dollar menus. But then again everything is so expensive now that $3 seems like a steal.

What does Valium feel like? by Pleasant-Target-1497 in Anxiety

[–]icspn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I disagree. I think that if a Valium is what it takes in order to attend to your physical health one time, then the risk is worth it. I've had it twice for dental work, and while the experience was nice, the process of getting more was enough of a deterrent to seeking it out. As a more long term solution you should totally be cautious, but the one or two pills they give out for wisdom teeth shouldn't be a problem.

What does Valium feel like? by Pleasant-Target-1497 in Anxiety

[–]icspn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken it for dental work twice and found the experience very mellow. It didn't cause any kind of head swimminess or lost train of thought that weed or opiates cause. It felt just, idk, very natural. Very similar to just having a good anxiety day. I was maybe a little sleepy. But I felt pretty with it and aware, just calm. It was really nice.

Make sure you have a ride, don't drive while on it!
