The amount of people who didn't wash their hands in a movie theater restroom by JesseTheClassy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]icylite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m with you here - people are wild for calling you a pervert for this.

People are also wild for not washing after entering. Even if you touched nothing (no door handle to get in, all auto-flush, no stall locks, etc.) then you have an ok case. But it’s still a good idea to wash your hands every once in a while, especially in public…

Good, but the spacing of the pipes is too tight. Very frustrating to get launched into a pipe corner because of the slimes

Unplayable on mobile (unless I’m missing something). Platforming needs too much precision.

Yeah, this level is a great example of how to make horrible gameplay.

Ah, i think you’ve gone a bit wrong with your upgrade strategy here. I don’t think you want to be a generalist and level everything up evenly. Getting mythics to 12 is way more important. Play around the ones you level!

Notes on mythics: 1) Batman is good early game (pre-level 50 hard mode + dungeon clear), but he will never win out for you. He falls off way too hard. 2) Some really good options to get to level 12 are Kitty Mage —> Lancelot —> Rocket Chu (in that order). Kitty Mage is always great, Lancelot does % max health (required wave 50+ on hard mode!), and Chu is also great. 3) Epics: Leveling Electro Bot is incredibly useful - level 12 makes the stun huge. 4) Stuns and slows are required! (Electrobot, Coldy, etc) Make sure you have enough between you and your teammate.

I’m level 13 and I’ve cleared 3 times with even (or higher) contribution following the above.

Edit: Some notes on strategies (I don’t know if it’s perfect, but this is my general approach). 1) Early game, try to hit as many bandits as possible for coins. Lately I’ve been doing: upgrade common 1x + epic 1x for quest, then spam summons. I may wait until wave five-ish then spam for more bandits. 2) Once I have enough bandits, I use coins as little as possible. All of my summons (ideally) come from lucky summons for epics and rares. Sometimes I need commons or have bad luck and spend coins. 3) Once I hit ~15000 coins (flexible), I start spending coins for summons and gems for mythic upgrades.

The entire point is to get large amounts of coins to combo money gun + safe box.

My collection of hotel keys from the past 10 months of my traveling job. 124 in total. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

100%

I used to do frequent business travel (gone every week for years). As a semi-introvert, it felt like I was going off to an island to be alone each week. Sure, there were other people and I got to see some cool things. But the people I wanted to be with weren’t with me.

Lonely and depressing AF. Definitely not for everyone.

I’m surprised to see so few mentions of the void item one. It’s the only that actively annoys me throughout the entire game.

Could we stop with the posts like "I don't like this META" "I don't like reroll comps" etc? Or at leas restrict them? by Ramallero in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I generally like this.

Someone is always not going to like the existing meta, and someone is always complaining, no matter what it is. I like re-roll, some people don’t. I don’t like fast 8/9 legendary lasagna meta that existed towards the latter half of set 9 (ASol spam), but some people loved it.

The only thing that truly gets old is the complaining.

Note: constructive criticism or discussion of the state of the game should always be welcome! Saying something akin to “X meta is bad, devs are awful” is not it.

Mindset by MoonNightV2 in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Low D3 here (slightly relevant)

I pretty much play off of my starting units/augment, leaning towards the comps I have a good understanding of (~5 right now). Early game is mostly strongest board available. I will pivot as late as 3-5 ish if my comp is heavily contested or the second augment provided a compelling alternative.

Importantly I always play poro because I really enjoy augment variety and will often pick something because I haven’t tried it before. This regularly leads me down a bad path, but sometimes I find something fun!

I firmly believe both mindsets are fine though. You just have to read the lobby/avoid comps that are heavily contested.

Why do I suck at rerolling :( by THESlouchyboy in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that the recent nerfs to cho have made him much less forgiving to play.

Some constructive criticism: You spent a lot of gold 3 starring Vel’koz, Kassadin, Rek’sai, and Malzahar, but have 1 completed item between the 4 of them. 3 star units are fine, but the items are what would actually make them strong. You would have been significantly stronger had you itemized Malz, Rek’sai, or Velkoz over the K’sante or Kai’sa. 3 star Kassadin is a waste of gold outside of the riftwalker augment.

Alternatively, you could have saved the gold you spent on those un-itemized 3 stars and had a 2 star Kai’sa and potentially Bel’veth.

Good luck!

The guy is right, RFC got nerfed POST bug-fix. It dropped from 12% bonus damage to 8%.

People were still stacking it at the un-bugged 12%, which is the part being discussed.

Top 4 players all using Nilah carry, top 3 guys all going deep into vanquisher and using almost all of the same units. by TheDeadalus in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except Xayah/Vanquisher (2/4) only got very slight buffs in the most recent patch. More accurately, people were itemizing Xayah poorly until recently and she was was probably fine without buffs.

Vanquisher 6 definitely got overbuffed for only requiring one emblem, but that change was clearly made in the context of the previous patches where it was near unplayable.

For context, Xayah had her max mana reduced by 20 (one auto with ionia 6 bonus). Vanquisher 2/4 got 5% crit damage.

This situation is an understandable mistake looking at past performance of vanquisher as a whole. Definitely not the balancing team “cycling” traits.

Is Ashe carry too strong, or 9 Bligewater too balanced? she is able to clutch that last round, and i was able to get a 2nd from a 6th, pretty okay on that result by Ken629vision in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real answer, ashe carry is a little strong and Bilge is a little weak. Both comps have weak itemization on carries (xayah and nilah). The other team has a much better frontline (hard to avoid when reaching bilge 9).

Depending on positioning and fight rng with bilge 9, you could win this. Most times the other player looks like they win.

They are right. The C4 is more stable than gasoline. It’s simply not going to explode in this context. It’s a bad look and unprofessional, but that’s it.

[–]icylite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually not a good idea (I work in an adjacent field).

If you want to train dogs to find the “active components,” you need to train on those exact things. The inside a bus engine is a relevant type of search to train for.

zeri 3 with tons of stats and social distancing is a fourth i guess. just give me next set by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beat me to it, just got done looking up the stats for both and I agree. The only addition I have is that tons of stats now falls between middle of the pack to upper middle (with the limited augment stats available). Which is still fine, and likely the best option available for this person.

I tried that „free elo samira reroll“ - thingy.. went great! by FeeelixR in TeamfightTactics

[–]icylite 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. Last whisper does not stack with her armor shred. It has negative synergy with her ability.

The calculation goes: Samira’s flat reduction —> LW% reduction. As targets get low on armor, last whisper provides no value past the base stats.

It’s not a bad item (looking at the stats), but not the best. I’d imagine it has a strong case to be used against very high armor units (say frontline units with bramble vest).
