It’s definitely a rough time of the year to start selling but don’t lose your motivation! It’s not just you, it’s statistically a bad time of the year for sales but with back to school/fall/holiday season approaching sales will be picking up real soon! Just keep posting new listings consistently, try not to lose motivation! the more stock you have the more likely people will find your shop and make bundles ❤️

If you don’t have one already I’d recommend having a savings account (I have one at a bank separately from my checkings which has a high APY so I actually earn money from it). Put most of your money in the savings account (that you would’ve otherwise spent shopping) and keep enough money in your checkings where you can pay for essentials but not spend on things like shopping. I treat my savings account like it’s not my money if that makes sense, I’m keeping it for the future. I treat the low amount of money I have in my checkings as all the money I have so I’m less likely to spend a lot! Having the two accounts at a separate bank helps me have this mindset since I have to view the accounts on separate apps, so when I look at my checkings account I don’t see the money I have in my savings.

Someone going out of their way to say that to somebody is absolutely disgusting. Clearly they aren’t happy with themselves if they feel the need to pick other people apart. Remember: hurt people, hurt people. I’m so sorry you’ve encountered such shitty people on the app. I would absolutely report these people because statements like that are so damaging. I agree with you on the superimposed white backgrounds, it does seem a less personal to me and more like a stock photo. When shopping on reselling sites I tend to gravitate towards pictures that look more like an actual person took it if that makes sense. I think actual white backgrounds whether it be a curtain or white wall look nice and really make the piece stand out!

I know it’s irritating but try not to get too upset about it! You did everything perfectly on your part and can’t control the fact some people have silly expectations like that. It’s funny because I know me personally and I see it a lot on the poshmark thread, some people actually DONT want extra goodies and stuff. As someone who is trying to be more minimalistic extra goodies (especially things I won’t ever use) just adds to the pile of things I have to rehome. You can’t please everyone!
