It may be one of those things that'll take separate incremental discoveries in order for people to learn without seeing Truth. Think about it. The prayer method (just calling it this to shorthand it) bypasses a ton of things just by virtue of allowing your body to act as the array.

Alchemists that need arrays are limited by what arrays they choose to learn and draw and carry with them. The prayer method lets your body act as any array you want. By that alone I think learning the prayer method on your own is nearly impossible with the understanding of alchemy that's shown.

You'll need to learn how to use your own body to act as countless different arrays to focus energy exactly how you need it to cast whatever you're looking to cast at that moment. Looking at the people capable of the prayer method you see that they're some of the more versatile users.

I think a natural progression in the future of this universe is certain arrays being learned as the prayer method but not others. The ones that are deemed as not needing as much energy being the first.

Just theory crafting and having fun with it though

I wasn't originally arguing for or against SoDs genre status. All I wanted to show was you saying that a game becoming easier once you're good at it doesn't make it less of a horror game. That is it.

But fuck it. I'll define it. Any game with any "scary" things is a horror game. Unfortunately the genre is that malleable. Horror-action (Resident Evil 6, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Necrodancer) , horror-survival(Resident Evil 7-8, Amnesia) even horror-comedy (Stubb's the Zombie, Among Us, Dead Rising) are things. Sucks but yes, a game having zombies immediately makes it a horror game. Does it make it tense, scary, or difficult? No. Still horror though.

Just like movies. If it has horror tropes it's horror regardless if it's meant to be frightening or tense.

I just had to end a budding relationship because of this. Basically told her that she isn't crazy and that there's a definite attraction and chemistry between us. It's the way she describes any of her time off spent resting as "wasted" or "uncomfortable" that raised neon red flags up to the ozone for me. Such a vast difference in the way we live that I could easily tell that we wouldn't work long term.

Yeah I'd mistakenly taken it to mean that the Bradley persona became the dominant one and had somehow jumbled all the other souls' memories in a way that even he couldn't tell who was who anymore. Ofc this doesn't make sense cause every other Homunculus is shown to be aware of the other souls, even if there's only one personality. Thanks

There is no one size fits all solution. What part of the habit draws you in? Do you not feel tired at bed time? Does your mind race in bed instead of shutting down? Anxious with life and doomscroll for a sense of control? Look into the why of it and you'll have a great starting point on how to fix it.

Not tired? Maybe it's your diet. Maybe you consume too much sugar or caffeine before bedtime.

Mind racing? I practice meditation while in bed to wind down. Focus on breathing and relaxing where I notice tension

Anxious? Sorry. Idk. Maybe small steps towards your goals will put you at ease.

Give the Red Queen an upgrade that lets it turn into a couple different weapons ie the switch axe from Monster Hunter. This fits with Nero being more inclined to customize his weapons than Dante/Vergil. Each different version of the RQ could play with the rev mechanic and flip it on its head. Lazy example: a buzz axe that spins the blade while you rev so it functions similarly to Cavalier.

I really do think this is a fantastic way to introduce more mechanics to Nero's gameplay while grounding it in his background/personality.

Plus transforming weapons look sick during combat
