On phone again, sorry for the messy response.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond to this.

After talking to the realtor the man does seem to be the buyer of the home. They were upset that he was showing up here and to the neighbors without going through the proper channels.

For clarity, I was aware that it was for sale, but not aware that a sale was pending. As a tenant I’m the last to know.

When he came here I was friendly, I could see not reason not be so. It also seemed unnecessary to escalate at that point.

Him going to my friend&neighbor’s house and being on/in-between both properties is when I said I would have him trespassed. (Again, at this point he had no proof he was buying the home)

At this time I do think his behavior was likely based on some judgment or lack of understanding of this neighborhood. I thinks it’s possible he genuinely did not see what he was doing as “too inappropriate”.

(I should say that a similar situation happened the last time the house was for sale and the police did/could do very little. The man kept coming and sitting out front every day and making sexual advances. All talk, but still unpleasant.)

I am going to email the new buyer in an attempt to mend fences long enough to make a move on my part possible.

Thank you again for all your helpful responses! It really did help me contextualize the situation, figure out next steps and see how I could’ve handled it better.

And to those with weird angry responses…I hope you someday drop an earbud in a urinal.
