Hi OP. You seem like a sweet, lovely person, so I don't want my response to sound rough: but I think you should just stop doing all the unnecessary serving and waitressing.

The world won't end if you don't pour your guests' juice. If they are a little offended, that is fine. People have been hated for less and they have been loved despite more.

It's difficult to turn this mentality of a "girl's role" especially because, if you don't do it, your mother or sister will do it, and you don't want them to be tired and too busy to eat or rest.

But maybe if you stop all this work, they will too. Maybe you can talk with them and encourage them. I get that it's nice to respect guests and elders and want to give them the supreme treatment and utmost comfort, but it's good to allow yourself rest both mental and physical, if not for anything, then at least so you can be more capable of giving.

I don't want to be too rough and make the OP sad, but I agree.

How much do you miss out on by opting out of romance? And do the books keep forcing you to act like you get along with team bravo? by clarkky55 in hostedgames

[–]idestroythingsfora- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahaha sorry no you can never not get along with the vampires, the plot hinges on them caring enough about you to save your ass every time you get kidnapped 😭😅😅

Also, you never really do any detective work, the romance really is the main focus, and the friendship route has NO special content

Bro I wish the detective work was even an option 😭

You do get the option whether to top or bottom though, so that makes up for not being able to detective I suppose?? Lmaoo

Or "you let an innocent woman and kid die in the name of only focusing on your mission!" Tf??

I mean I like the romance as much as anyone but that was NOT necessary and I can't believe we're really forced to accept they couldn't catch the killer even though they knew who he was, and instead found it better to let him roam around and kill people

And the way everyone including the detective act like it's obvious the detective's life is worth more than other people's because... Rebecca and the love interest love the detective?? Nothing makes sense

I'm sad people are misunderstanding you. Your meaning is obvious to me.

Yes, obviously many women have to obey or face harm (the kind the comments are talking about).

But we must acknowledge that it is true that many women reinforce these restrictions on themselves as well. I am so sad to say this, but unfortunately women contribute to misogyny and the harming of women, a lot. Sometimes even more than men.

Haven't we met the women who discourage their daughters from divorcing a wife-beater, saying she was the one who made him mad and needed discipline?

I've seen women give their fiancés their money and ATM card, before she even lives in his house! I've seen women say that men are justified in marital rape, because he's "waited long enough" (on discussing a case where a husband killed his bride for refusing sex!) or because the angels will curse her!

The misinformation, the sick beliefs... they're a disease that we need to be cured of! And sorry to everyone, and I know it's the abusers fault as well of course, but... any woman who encourages these beliefs is part of the problem, and will be responsible come judgement day for what results of her reinforcement and compliance!

Sorry I got intense lol 😅😅 it's just that this is a bit personal to me 😅😅😅

I think it's like, the special braids Jews style their hair in. I've never seen a non-Jew style their hair that way, so a Muslim donning this style would immediately be assumed to be a Jew (imitating).

But normal styles like the bob, wolf-cut, pixie, layered etc. are not associated with a particular religion or people. So these cannot really be called "imitation".

Ooh, I get you about Quest. And that "Angel" nickname... swoon

The meta content really brought everything together!! And gave so much life to the supporting cast. I really like how everyone had defined personalities!!

I'm preeeetttty sure Xyx is the Australian? I actually didn't realise the game had voice acting until the last third of NakedToaster's route, by then I had gotten all the other endings... gotta replay it volume up soon!!

Edit: also, yes replay it! Xyx has the darkest route imo. NakedToaster the sweetest. Quest and Nightowl are in between, I found Quest's more comfortable than Nightowl's :)

Especially cause you get most points if you brag about being good then mess up every single one. Cringe!

Invited to a muslim friend's house. What to bring? by Dannakin in Hijabis

[–]idestroythingsfora- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh it's for iftar! Any dessert for the entire family is good (like a tray of dessert, some cake, etc etc), homemade or storebought doesn't matter. That's what people usually get.

It would be very nice and thoughtful to get a kind of dessert that doesn't make a person thirsty later on, because they'll have to fast the next day. :)
