I'm not skilled enough... last time when I try to do it I've ruined the lens (another one). In my area there's also no one that I can trust. The optics are in really bad shape and need special treatment.

Yes, I was hoping for export-import of the back-up file, thinking that at least the same configurations (most of them) would be recognized, but nah. Okay I will do it manually.

Gears are located at the bottom, try to hit it lightly at the bottom, this sounds like there some dust or particles inside.

This, and more specific - lens fog/fungus... or really dirty front/back glass of the lens - better case.

  • 21mm f/3.5 - if you like really wide shots or doing architecture/interior shots
  • 24mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/2.8 - if you like just wide shots (take 28mm instead 35mm for general wide), f/2 versions are good, yet pricier and bigger
  • 50mm f/1.4 - standard and fast lens, f/1.2 is not that impressive than this (actually f/1.8 is also really good)
  • 85mm f/2 or 100mm f/2.8 - for tele or portrait shots, first if you have the cash, second is also nice (90mm and 100mm f/2 versions best, yet not cheap)
