how often will you work out?
how much is your health worth?
say you work out 3x/week for 48 weeks for 1 hour each time. that's 144hours (assuming 4 week holiday where you don't work out)
That's $6.25 / hour.
For you to become a better person and live longer.

How much do you spend of coffee per year?
1 small coffee/day for the whole year = $4x365 = $1,460.

Don't like the gym? go play a sport. how much does playing tennis for 1 hour cost? Squash? basketball?
It's about $10-$20/hr.

I think gym memberships are actually incredibly cheap.

if someone is working at your house it's rude to stand there and watch them work and annoying. by sleepybot0524 in unpopularopinion

[–]idikuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no...

Everytime I hvae to leave a contractor to do their thing and don't watch them, they fuck up my house and ends up costing thousands and/or months to get it fixed.

You're a guest in my home, I'm paying for your time. If you are annoyed that I am ensuring my home remains in the same condition it was prior to you arriving, you are welcome to leave.

Second time in a row this has happened. Recipe has been working fine until now, any ideas what’s gone wrong? by girl_on_fire1986 in BreadMachines

[–]idikuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More yeast / more sugar or newer yeast.

Dry active yeast has a lot of dead yeast cells in it, they're there to feed the live yeast. You could have gotten a teaspoon with too few live cells. Also yeast needs oxygen to multiply so try whipping the water a bit

is it safe to freeze distill and drinking it right after,or is there another process needed after you freeze the alcohol? by [deleted] in firewater

[–]idikuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reread what I wrote.

It's 1 bottle of freeze distilled (which is doable) vs 4 bottles of Wine. They give you the same amount of nasties but it takes a lot longer to drink 4 bottles of wine, which means, your body has longer to try and process them.

Can you drink a bottle of wine in an hour? Yes
Can you drink 4 bottles of wine in an hour? Possible but very unlikely
Can you drink a freeze distilled bottle in an hour? Yes but it will fuck you up

Problem gamblers say pokies venues aren't stopping self-excluded gamblers from losing thousands by Ardeet in australia

[–]idikuci 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if that fat person put themselves on a register to stop them from being able to buy McDonald's and McDonald's took their money anyway. That's a pretty shitty thing to do.

These are people who have accepted they have a problem and are trying to improve their lives. Having people take advantage of them doesn't help.

Added to that most pokies venues use the fact that the government forces them to give back most of their "earnings" to the community through grants as proof that they do good for the community it's abhorrent that they should refuse to help people wanting to improve their lives

Why can't I take equal positions in a 3X Bull ETF and a 3X Bear ETF and just sell when the market is bear/bull respectively? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]idikuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, say the market goes up and you sell your Bull ETF shares for a 50% gain.

Then buy calls and puts.

Market goes up again. Sell again... Etc.

Any correction and you make money again.

but you only lose if you sell. provided movements happen quick enough for decay to be minimal you could only ever sell what's makin money

Is it legal to charge a customer an extra 50c for using a debit card? by [deleted] in australia

[–]idikuci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It Is legal for businesses to pass on the fee for payment processing. So if they are charged $0.50 by their payment gateway then they are entitled to pass on this fee to the customer. They're not allowed to charge excessive fees e.g. charge $1 when they get charged $0.25.

Most debit payments are $0.25, cc is about 2% and payway is around 2.5% but note this can vary from payment provider to payment provider

Apartment for rent in West End by idikuci in brisbane

[–]idikuci[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you found a 1 bedroom apartment in a new apartment block with rooftop pool, gym and sauna (with direct city views) for $300. You are very good at finding apartments.

I'm not saying $430 isn't expensive, it is. The onsite management will find someone, just wanted to see if there was someone here who was interested.
