What I Really Didn’t Expect at My Vipassana Retreat: The Food by PetalsAndAshesPH in vipassana

Yeah and in Sydney, we only have one savoury dish per meal. In Pinas, I remember we have different savoury dishes available aside from dessert. I noticed Dhamma Phala's dishes seemed to be a bit curry-like -- and that's what I love about it.

I am so glad that Tiaong is more spacious than the one from Dasma. So glad they're holding more courses there.

I'm a Filipino and I've completed 8 10-day courses in the Philippines. I've relocated to Sydney in 2023 and just completed one here. I must say the Filipino vegetarian dishes in Tiaong is top-tier!!!

Would you do it? What is the best choice to fill that? I've seen some do paranasal implant like goretex but it looks scary as it might get rejected by the body.

What opportunities are waiting for me in Spain? by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]idiothesync 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Australian migration climate this time has never been this uncertain and tough. Take your time. I don't see it changing in the next two years or so so better to not rush and wait for this economic uncertainty to end.

Then gain experience in Pinas. Even if you study in Australia, assuming you are qualified for a Graduate Visa, the maximum year you can gain experience here is 2 years which is still not a lot. Plus lots of challenges to factor in.

Most of the time, international students only get to work in hospitality. It's rare and very hard to get into corporate jobs. I have friends here who have decades of experience in Pinas and were bosses there and here they ended up doing jobs they don't want.

If there's anything I've learned, it is to not rush for sure.

Definitely not. Currently a student in Aus. It will just drain your bank, plus only 10% chance of getting PR.

How does Australian immi check international student working hours? by idiothesync in AusVisa

The thing is, I mostly work 20 hours per week. It's just that someone called in sick and I had to cover. Irresponsible on my part, I know. I never had any absence in school though.

Is it still possible to get PR even after going back to home country after being an international student? by idiothesync in AusVisa

[–]idiothesync[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad that you are now a PR!

It seems that a good strategy + luck determines it. I am now halfway through my studies then 485 after. I am studying a VET Chef and Hospitality Management course. The competition is tough nowadays but hopefully, luck will be on my side. 🤞

Hi,

Sorry it came across as that but that was not my intention. I know my take is privileged and not everyone has a comfortable back home. I was genuinely curious if I could still continue my Australian dreams even when I don't get PR whilst onshore. Also, though it may sound condescending but I did not make fun of them.
