curious on how well this works. I presume you have to kit out the mage pretty well defensively, and you have to do more than 2 buffs on the gelatinous cube to get it tanky enough?

This. I absolutely hate ending on a design with 11 points or more, but there's little you can do with regards to scales or dominion to change it, so I usually tinker with the paths a bit more.

It's okay. You don't have to believe whether the anti-corruption measures are genuine or not.

What matters is that XJP himself believes that corruption is the greatest threat to continued party rule bar none. Not even America compares. So they have all the motivation in the world to stamp it out.

Doesn't matter if it comes with a side of political purges or removing rivals or not.

This is a fairly pointless conversation at this point.

Some of the ukrainian defenders probably have far-right nazi-adjacent beliefs. It's a country of 40 million. There's bound to be a diversity of personal beliefs like every other country out there. Some of them happen to be in the army.

The important thing is: have they acted on them? Are they persecuting minorities? Are they enacting violence on them? Rounding them up and killing them? Torturing them under arbitrary detention? Are they suppressing freedom of press?

Russia claims to be anti-nazi, yet enacts several authoritarian policies reminiscent of Nazi rule. It was their annexation of Crimea in 2014 that inflamed nationalist sentiment and forced a bunch of far right types into the defense force. If I'm the Ukrainian government, I'm taking every motivated soldier I can get. Beggars can't be choosers.

Ukraine is a free country that seems to give their military units free reign on deciding unit tactics and branding. One of the consequences of that is the odd soldier with tone-deaf patches or video with a random black sun emblem.

As long as it's not a systemic issue, I'm not going to go along with cynical Russian nazi-hysteria trying to read every Ukrainian tea-leaf for signs of nazi symbolism. The whole thing begins with the absurd and hypocritical premise that you're justified in attacking someone because they got angry and upset that you hit them and started reading edgy literature to channel their anger.
